RAISE MY BORICUA FIST
For all of humanity, peoples have been oppressed.
All through history we have seen this.
As time has gone by, the oppression has persisted in so many forms.
What have we learned?
Not a thing ….
Today I raise my fist for my Boricua brothers and sisters on the Island and on the Mainland.
Oppression of Boricuas continues to this day.
The Island has been oppressed since the American invasion in 1898.
To this day, that oppression, though veiled, continues to be the same.
