HAPPIER TIMES

This picture is about two years old.

These baby marmosets were born and I finally met them in person.

They are Priscilla and Bubba.

About two months ago, Priscilla had a sudden incident at home and died in the arms of her “mommy“.

Since then, my dearest friend Mel, has been taking extremely good care of Bubba.

Sad to say that life frequently has different plans than those which humans have.

Today, Bubba is in intensive care after a week of touch and go treatment at home.

It seems that the may have contracted the human herpes virus and this has lead to live failure.

We are all hoping for the best but the odds are limited and the stakes are high.

Here’s hoping.

My brother (Jose, Pepo II, Pepito) was born on July 6, 1937.

Today, we celebrate your coming into this world!

You would have celebrated your 78th birthday.

To this day, I miss you. I miss you terribly.

I wish you could have been here and know what’s going on with my life.

I think you would have been happy for me.

Today, as every day since you passed, you are in the company of Mom & Dad. You are celebrating your special day with them .. and so many others of our family.

Say hello and hug them for me. Know that you are in my heart, in my mind, in my memories and my DNA.

You will always will be.

You ain’t heavy, you are my brother.

I love you as many grains of sand there are in all the beaches of the world.

“Billy Crystal opened a touching tribute to Robin Williams at the Primetime Emmy Awards Monday night, August 25, 2014, with an anecdote about the two going to a Reds-Mets game in 1989 and joining Tim McCarver and Whoopi Goldberg in the broadcast booth.

“Robin, Whoopi and I once were in Shea Stadium in the broadcast booth with the great Tim McCarver. It was “Comic Relief Day” for the New York Mets. Robin knew nothing about baseball. I asked him, “What’s your favorite team?” And he said, “The San Franciscos.”

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability. Currently working on an enterprise whose main mission will be to bring peoples of all walks of life together. To be one .... since we ALL are ONE!! The future looks bright and promising!!!
