Full Flower Moon …. May 3, 2015!!

~~May 3, 2015~~

Full moon up all night on May 3-4

May 3, 2015 – the May 2015 full moon counts as the second full moon after the March 20 equinox. In North America, we often call this particular full moon the Flower Moon, Milk Moon or Planting Moon.

This Full Moon in Scorpio will have us delving into the deep mysteries of the heart and feeling our truth. We are being asked to feel instead of think and to act instead of speak.

~Full Moon Names and Their Meanings~

Full Moon names date back to Native Americans, of what is now the northern and eastern United States. The tribes kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names to each recurring full Moon. Their names were applied to the entire month in which each occurred. There was some variation in the Moon names, but in general, the same ones were current throughout the Algonquin tribes from New England to Lake Superior. European settlers followed that custom and created some of their own names. Since the lunar month is only 29 days long on the average, the full Moon dates shift from year to year. Here is the Farmers Almanac’s list of the full Moon names.

This Full Flower Moon brings us to the lusty month of May. The energy is earthy and sensual, urging us to dig our toes into the mud.

Our psyche will be bringing up all kinds of toxins, such as possessiveness, obsessions, and resentments, so it’s a great time to cleanse, detox, and let go; getting healthy in the mind and body.

To start the day …. “Stand by Me”!!

~~March 4, 2015~~

In this day and age, where technology is in every aspect of our lives, the possibility of feeling alone while in a group, is very likely.

We always need someone to stand by us.

“Stand By Me”

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we’ll see
No I won’t be afraid
Oh, I won’t be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

So darling, darling
Stand by me, oh stand by me
Oh stand, stand by me
Stand by me

If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall

All the mountains should crumble to the sea
I won’t cry, I won’t cry
No, I won’t shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

And darling, darling
Stand by me, oh stand by me
Oh stand now, stand by me
Stand by me

So darling, darling
Stand by me, oh stand by me
Oh stand now, stand by me, stand by me
Whenever you’re in trouble won’t you stand by me
Oh stand by me, oh won’t you stand now, stand
Stand by me
