IOTD …. Image of the day, #569 …. “One Very Happy …. Ladybug …. “!!

~~September 16, 2016~~

How brave a ladybug must be!
Each drop of rain is big as she.
Can you imagine what you’d do,
If raindrops fell as big as you?

To start the day … “Rumer & Val’s Contemporary: Swam Theme”!!

~~May 13, 2015~~

Rumer Willis And Val Chmerkovskiy’s Judge’s Choice Dance

The judges act as mentors to the couples and take over creative control. They pick the music, the concept, the costumes and the lighting. They won’t judge the couple they mentor.

The Dancing With The Stars semifinals were amazing!

Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy, Riker Lynch and Allison Holker, Nastia Liukin, Sasha Farber and Derek Hough, Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess faced off during Week 9 of DWTS to make their way into the finals. But it was Noah’s proposal to his girlfriend that was clearly the most shocking moment of the evening.

Each of the semifinalists had been on the top of the leaderboard at one point. Len wasn’t surprised. Rumer, Riker and Nastia were always top dancers while Noah was always a fan-favorite even if he wasn’t always the judges’ favorite.

And Week 9 was an incredible, emotional week of DWTS. The dances were so good that Bruno felt like it was the finals.

In the judges’ choice category, Bruno picks the theme from “Swan Lake” for a Rumer/Val contemporary fusion. Bruno seeks passion, lyricism, range and personality. “I don’t know why everyone assumes that if you’re from Eastern Europe you do ballet,” a befuddled Val says during rehearsal.

Bruno goes on about wanting Val shirtless and in white tights, though he’s covered up for the dance. It’s a neat trick of lighting that makes Rumer go from white swan to black. She swirls upward into Val’s arms before one lift. At times, there’s a softness we typically don’t see from Val. It’s Bruno, yet it’s also distinctly Rumer and Val. It’s not 100% contemporary or ballet, though – is that why it’s fusion?

Len utters, “Bruno, great concept. Val, wonderful choreography. Rumer, brilliant dancing.” Carrie Ann declares it “genius mad.” Bruno exalts in the skybox until Erin cuts him off. Score: 30 (and Bruno pumps his fists at those 10s even more than Rumer and Val do).

Incredible performances by all four couples during the semifinals. It will be a difficult decision to make by the public in the end.

All of them are giving their best and their all. Their efforts don’t go unnoticed.

Their competitiveness is there.

The all around improvement since the show began is palpable.

Guess who I’m rooting for?

Thoughts for today …. #127: “Ego vs Spirit”!!

~~March 24, 2015~~

The part of you that defines itself as a personality, separates itself from the outside world, and considers itself (read: you) a separate entity from the rest of nature and the cosmos. Perhaps necessary for survival in some evolutionary bygone, in modern times it leads only to (albeit often disguised) misanthropic beliefs and delusion.

In short, “I.”
Ego is responsible for hate, fear, and delusion.

The English word spirit (from Latin spiritus “breath”) has many differing meanings and connotations, most of them relating to a non-corporeal substance contrasted with the material body. It can also refer to a “subtle” as opposed to “gross” material substance. The word spirit is often used metaphysically to refer to the consciousness or personality.

To start the day …. The Taz!!

~~May 6, 2014~~

Some people, we open the door to before realizing that they are this kind of “devil”. One in disguise ….They come in and the uproot and destroy all the stands in their path. The destruction could be devastating if you don’t realize in time what is going on.

The only thing to do is to open the door, for them to leave and start picking up the pieces. Feel lucky that you realized in time.

That’s where I am right now.

It is already done. Time to undo!!

The Tasmanian Devil, often referred to as Taz, is an animated cartoon character featured in the Warner Bros. “Looney Tunes” and “Merrie Melodies” series of cartoons. Though the character appeared in only five shorts before Warner Bros. Cartoons closed down in 1964, marketing and television appearances later propelled the character to new popularity in the 1990s.

As the youngest of the Looney Tunes characters, Tasmanian Devil, or ‘Taz’ as he has come to be known, is generally portrayed as a ferocious albeit dim-witted omnivore with a notoriously short temper and little patience. He will eat anything and everything, with an appetite that seems to know no bounds. He is best known for his speech consisting mostly of grunts, growls and rasps, and his ability to spin like a vortex and bite through just about anything.

In 1991, Taz got his own show, Taz-Mania, which ran for four seasons, in which Taz was the protagonist.

~~Tazmania Opening Theme~~

~~Uploaded on May 1, 2007~~

This is the Taz-Tazmania theme song

Welcome to the land that’s way under, down under, the sky’s always yellow come rain or shine
Down in Taz-Mania, come to Taz-Mania.
Where topsy meets turvy and they start to spin, like a Tazmanian devil and his closest kin.
Down in Taz-Mania, come to Taz-Mania. Mom’s a live wire, dad’s a bump on a log, Molly’s all fired up while Jake plays with the dog.
Down in Taz-Mania, come to Taz-Mania.
Digeri Dingo and Wendel T. Wolf, Francis X. Bushlad is never uncouth.
Bushwhacker Bob and his mother called Mum, Constance and Thickley just want to have fun.
Bull Gator and Axl are always left sore.
If you have a deal just call Buddy Boar, The Platypus brothers are a-backin’ about, the kiwi, the bushrats, have we left anyone out?
Oh yeah, don’t forget Taz . . . He put the Taz in Taz-Mania, Down in Tazmania, come to Tazmania. We mean you! Wa-ba-ba-bla-bloopthb!

We ALL have a TAZ in our LIVES!!

We ALL are ONE!!
