SURELY NEVER AGAIN

When you don’t have the respect of the people, you earn their disdain!

Never in my lifetime have I seen such a negative response to the president of this country.

Could’ve happened before but either I wasn’t keeping tabs on happenings or I was too young.

Mockery becomes the new way to release feelings!!

SAYING GOODBYE IS NEVER EASY

I vividly remember that night in Chicago when this young family walked unto the stage, into a huge crowd of people mesmerized by the fact that Barack Obama had been elected President of the United States.

I remember Michelle’s black and red dress.

I remember the two young girls walking along, hand in hand, with their parents.

What could they have been thinking?

Today is, technically, their last day in the White House.

I’m sure that by now they have already packed and moved along.

It wasn’t a perfect presidency.

Many goals were accomplished, many weren’t.

The fact remains that advancement in many causes was achieved.

I say goodbye, from the heart, to this family who offered their unqualified, sincere service to this country.

Fare thee well, Obamas!

There was a time when I didn’t know what ‘POTUS‘ meant.

It became clear, at some time, that it bore a major meaning when referring to the

‘PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES’.

In my humble opinion, I’d say that this has totally changed in the minds of half of the American citizens who voted for experience, knowledge, civility, class and temperament.

Maybe she wasn’t the best choice.

OK, I get that.

But when faced with the final choices, again … in my mind … there was no doubt which one I’d choose.

Certainly not this ‘POTUS’!
