A TINY SEED
Love is a tiny seed
planted in the deep
soil of your soul.
It spirals upward
and downward
making roots
Because it needs to see
the sunshine of your eyes
nurtured by the warmth of a kiss
falling like rain
If you do it just right
it becomes a flower
in perfect bloom
Where you will
let the thorn on the stem prick you
just to savor the fragrance
that it exudes.
