All of my life, I have been under the umbrella of the USA. I was born and grew up in Puerto Rico, a commonwealth of the US since 1952.
I remember that my image of the US was “the greatest country” in the world.
There was always the phrase “policeman of the world” in many of the conversations.
As I matured and continued my path in life, my idea of the USA has evolved with time and change .. and not for the better.
I started by realizing what has been done to my country. It seems that only good has come out of “our association” but that isn’t the case.
I also remember the phrase “Ugly American“. I understand it know.
I believe that the image on the USA has been tarnished all over the world. This has been the case, most likely, due to the “powers that be” yet all Americans are painted in the same way because “they” represent us.
America (to those making the decisions) … I think it’s time for you to mind your own business and take care of issues “at home”.
I’m thinking and thinking and thinking … should I post this?
Here goes …. I must confess I didn’t Google this person. If she does exist, fine. If she doesn’t, whoever wrote these words may have a point.
I found this commentary/short editorial and would like to share it with you. In no way is this intended to offend anyone or create controversy. My intention is to put the writer’s points out there to maybe motivate us to research, think for ourselves, and try to decipher the thinking process of “the powers that be” who insist in staying in the Middle East. This is not in anyway intending to promote or condone any actions coming from those elements actively involved in this conflict.

We support the Iraqi government in the fight against the Islamic State. We don’t like IS but IS is supported by Saudi Arabia, whom we do like. We don’t like President Assad. We support the fight against him but not IS which is also fighting against him.
We don’t like Iran but Iran supports the Iraqi government against IS. So, some of our friends support our enemies and some of our enemies are our friends and some of our enemies are fighting against our other enemies whom we want to lose but we don’t want our enemies who are fighting our enemies to win.
If the people we want to defeat are defeated, they might be replaced by people we like even less. And all this was started by us invading a country to drive out terrorists who weren’t actually there until we went in to drive them out.
Do you understand now?
As I read this, it sounds to me like a tongue-twister. As twisted as the minds who instigated and created this reality and continue to fuel this cauldron of hate, hostility, inhumanity and killing.
Isn’t it time for us to get out? Or is it too late?
Since the “creation” of “It Is What It Is” in March 2013, we have always ended all posts with this phrase: “We ALL are ONE!! …. because we are.
We all come from one Source. This Source can be called by many names. Our origins are the same. The human anatomy is the same. The physical characteristics may vary but at the deep genetic level we are the same. The color of our skin, the texture of our hair, the facial features, the needs, the desires …. may vary. Deep at the cellular level, we are the same.

Whether you know it or not, like it or not, want it or not, we are engaged in a struggle that concerns every living being on our planet, the human spirit, and defending the earth against further environmental destruction. All life is sacred and a beautiful gift that must be respected and protected at all cost.
Earth’s dependence on fossil fuels, coal mining, fracking and nuclear plants are not needed at all. Yet the powers that be continue to keep humanity chained to dirty energy, create wars for it, destroy the environment, poison ground water and harm Mother Earth so we can continue using the same old techniques that generate trillions of dollars for those at the top of the energy industry. This can’t go on.
We need to change things now, not in 2015, 2020, 2030 – NOW!
