Hillary Clinton Features Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ in Campaign Ad

Hillary Clinton has set her closing campaign ad to Katy Perry’s song “Roar,” airing the spot in key states in the final days of the presidential race.

The minute-long spot features scenes of Clinton throughout her career and on the campaign trail, as well as images of everyday Americans with descriptions of what they’re voting for, including equality, respect and higher wages.

Perry has made herself a well-known Clinton supporter throughout the presidential race, performing at the Democratic National Convention, campaigning to get out the vote and dressing up as the Democratic nominee for Halloween.

The pop star appeared at a Clinton rally in Philadelphia on Saturday, November 5.

WHO TO VOTE FOR

If this was a ‘routine’ presidential election.

If there weren’t such high stakes in place.

If the candidates were on similar footing educationally, experience-wise, honorable, reliable, trust-worthy (there, I used that word), I would go with this message 100%.

Due to the current state of affairs and the fact that we can only choose between two candidates, I have to chose one of them.

I already did.

I voted early.

Stephen Colbert mocked Ted Cruz for selecting Carly Fiorina as his running mate after suffering another round of devastating primary losses.

“That is bold,” Colbert said. “After Tuesday’s huge wins by Clinton and Trump, Bernie Sanders saw the writing on the wall and laid off hundreds of staffers. Meanwhile, Ted Cruz saw the writing and covered it up with a ‘hang in there, baby’ poster.”

The “Late Show” host said Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard, was “clearly honored to accept this important job that will never exist.”

He showed video footage of Fiorina professing her love for Cruz’s family, and she broke into several awkward verses of a lullaby about her running mate’s two daughters.

“I know two girls who I just adore,” Fiorina sang from the lectern. “I am so happy I can see them more. Because we travel on the bus on the day, we get to play, we get to play.”

Colbert cringed as he listened and bit his fist in horror.

“It’s like Disney gave the wicked stepmother her own song,” he said.
