I remember when the Bundy ‘take-over’ was going on.

I even had a ‘discussion’ with a fellow Facebooker.

Yesterday, the ‘not guilty’ verdit came down.

They must really be ‘happy campers’.

In the meantime, flash to North Dakota …

Where’s the mainstream media?

I think they are distracted by this crazy election cycle.

Anyway, who cares?

It’s only ‘red people’, not ‘white people’, right?

Bundy Brothers Acquitted in Takeover of Oregon Wildlife Refuge

Armed anti-government protesters led by Ammon and Ryan Bundy were acquitted Thursday, October 27, of federal conspiracy and weapons charges stemming from the takeover of a federally owned wildlife sanctuary in Oregon last winter.

The surprise acquittals of all seven defendants in Federal District Court were a blow to government prosecutors, who had argued that the Bundys and five of their followers used force and threats of violence to occupy the reserve.

But the jury appeared swayed by the defendants’ contention that they were protesting government overreach and posed no threat to the public.

DON PEDRO ALBIZU CAMPOS

Pedro Albizu Campos (September 12, 1891[4] – April 21, 1965) was a Puerto Rican attorney and politician, and the leading figure in the Puerto Rican independence movement. Gifted in languages, he spoke six; graduating from Harvard Law School with the highest grade point average in his law class, an achievement that earned him the right to give the valedictorian speech at his graduation ceremony.

However, animus towards his mixed racial heritage would lead to his professors delaying two of his final exams in order to keep Albizu Campos from graduating on time. During his time at Harvard University he became involved in the Irish struggle for independence.

Albizu Campos was the president and spokesperson of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party from 1930 until his death in 1965. Because of his oratorical skill, he was hailed as El Maestro (The Teacher). He was imprisoned twenty-six years for attempting to overthrow the United States government in Puerto Rico.

Something to think about …. “Giving You Fair Warning”!!

POWER OF A WOMAN

I’m going to have to “toot my own horn” here a little bit

I consider myself to be a fairly level-headed human being.

I have lived my life as best as I could, with the tools I’ve been given.

I don’t profess to be perfect or without fault.

Yet, I think I have a good heart.

I never do anything with the intention of hurting anyone.

I have “big ears” and I listen to people (that was basically my job my entire professional life – to those who believe that I am indeed a medical doctor not only a therapist).

I consider myself a true and loyal friend.

Ask around, I think plenty will agree.

I hold dear and very close to my heart the values that my parents and my teachers taught me.

Have I strayed? Have I made mistakes?

Yes, I have.

I’ve always acknowledged that I’m not perfect.

I will not accept, from others, descriptions about myself which aren’t accurate.

I won’t accept that I don’t have integrity because I do have plenty of that.

I won’t accept that I’m evil … because “evil” is a very strong word.

(Beware of anyone who is projecting that thought about themselves).

I will accept that I enjoy the occasional gossip story. Yet,  I won’t accept that I gossip to the degree that others’ lives are destroyed. I don’t gossip with the intention of hurting others.

I won’t accept that I’m a “drama queen” either.

If I sin at anything, it’s about caring too much and being somewhat naive.

This leads me to allow some people into my life and my very private and personal circle.

I’m too trusting.

I’ve allowed some in … and it’s lead to disappointment and hurt.

To tell you the truth, I wasn’t intending to use this graph to write this.

It seems that it was meant to be because, here I am, stating not to underestimate the power of a woman who has Puerto Rican blood.

And, that woman is me. 

If anyone thinks they are hurting me, keep in mind that I’m an adult senior citizen. I have a wonderful, satisfying personal and private life. I’m financially comfortable, retired and really happy.

You, on the other hand, were part of my life.

You are not in my life anymore.

You are the one missing out.

NEVER UNDERESTMINATE THE POWER OF A WOMAN

WHO HAS PUERTO RICAN BLOOD

That’s not a threat.

That’s a fact.

A woman with Puerto Rican blood is strong.

The power within me can withstand all that is sent out my way.

My self-esteem, the security I carry within, the assurance that I am more than worthy, my foundation and my SELF, make me strong.

THAT’S THE POWER WITHIN ME.

That will NEVER waver and that YOU will never weaken or touch!

If you think it “takes balls” to do things in front of me ….

Hey, I take that as a compliment and it’s total ignorance on your part.

That comment, and plenty more, show who you really are.

If the shoe fits, wear it.
