WordPress Update …. “🧐 We’re Updating our Privacy Policy 🧐 …. “!!

ASKING FOR YOUR INPUT AND THOUGHTS 

Several weeks ago, I received an email from WordPress announcing to the fact that they are updating their privacy policies.

I guess I was living my life when a blogger friend mentioned something about this. This friend was concerned and was even considering closing her website.

Ah! This made me take notice and look at the email itself in more detail. I must say I’m not too good in this department, hence I would like to post this and request thoughts from any other blogger friends who may stop here and help me in this quandary.

Should I simply accept their new policy or should I also consider closing my ‘spot’?

I thank, in advance, anyone who may feel inclined to help this fellow blogger along.

I must confess that I’d heard about this organization before.

It wasn’t after the November 2016 election that I became a member.

They support all rights of the people who seem to be oppressed during the current American ‘rule’.

They represent me.

I stand with the ACLU!

The American Civil Liberties Union has attracted Hollywood’s biggest stars for a fundraiser.

“Stand for Rights: A Benefit for the ACLU” which will stream on Facebook Live on March 31 and be filmed live in New York.

“In these tumultuous times, we need our favorite actors, musicians, and comedians to do what they do best. Speak earnestly about politics? No!

Entertain you for a great cause?

Yes!” the Facebook event reads.

 

Celebrities including Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Tracy Morgan, Ellie Kemper, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, Jon Hamm and Mahershala Ali will all make appearances to raise money for the organization.

~Your account is under attack, Google tells prominent journalists and professors~

Google has raised a red flag to prominent journalists, professors and scientists with regards to their accounts being under state-sponsored attack.

If the multiple reports circulating online are to be believed, then the instances have increased in the past 24 hours, though Google is known to send such warnings since 2012.

The list of people (via Arstechnica) includes Paul Krugman, the Nobel prize winning New York Times columnist, Michael McFaul who is a Standford University professor and also a former US diplomat, Keith Olbermann of GQ, Foreign Policy columnist Julia Ioffe, YNew York Magazine’s Jonathan Chait, among others.

“Ode to Joy” is an ode written in the summer of 1785 by German poet, playwright and historian Friedrich Schiller and published the following year in Thalia. A slightly revised version appeared in 1808, changing two lines of the first and omitting the last stanza.

Schiller was enthusiastically celebrating the brotherhood and unity of all mankind, later made some small revisions to the poem when it was republished in 1803, and it was this latter version that forms the basis for Beethoven’s famous setting.

It is best known for its use by Ludwig van Beethoven in the final movement of his Ninth Symphony.

From the flames we will rise together.
