Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.

The beacon of freedom and hope, the moral compass of the world, the everywhere ever-present policing and keeper of the world, the constant lecturing about behavior in countries around the world.
Seems like this encompassing description of the mighty, imperialistic U.S. of A. has gone down the drain.

In my personal case, I wasn’t really aware about details related to the political status of North Korea. I knew only a bit.
In light of the prominence given to this country by the actions of the ‘so-called president’ as they relate to North Korea, I am paying more attention.

Yeonmi Park has grown up to be a beautiful, free young woman!
North Korean woman, Yeonmi Park had a packed audience in tears as she relayed an account of her escape from ‘the darkest place in the world’ at the peace and conflict plenary session. The 21 year old said she was brainwashed by the propaganda of Kim Jong Il and three generations of imprisonment or execution was imposed on anyone that expressed doubt about the regime.
“North Korea is the only country in the world that executes people for making unauthorized international phone calls. North Koreans are being terrorized today,” said Park.
“When I was 9 years old, I saw my friend’s mother publicly executed. Her crime? Watching a Hollywood movie.There’s only one channel on TV. There’s no Internet. We aren’t free to move, sing, read, wear or think what we want,” Park continued. The repressive dictatorship led Park’s older sister to escape and gave Park and her mother no option but to escape themselves in order to find her sister. However as they escaped across the border, Yeonmi, at 13 years old witnessed her mother’s rape.
“I saw my mother raped. The rapist was a Chinese broker. I will never forget his face. The rapist had targeted me. I was only 13 years old,” said an emotional Park.
Park called on chinese One Young World delegates to speak out and petition china to stop repatriation, and called on everyone in attendance to support North Korean refugees that flee the country.
What followed was a standing ovation lasting over three minutes and many delegates leaving the auditorium red-eyed with tears, taking a moment to reflect on the atrocities of North Korea.

The Drumpf administration has fabricated acts of violence before. Drumpf’s top aide Kellyanne Conway cited a fictional “Bowling Green Massacre” which supposedly occurred in Kentucky to defend the administration’s Muslim Immigration Ban, which bans travel into the US from seven Muslim-majority countries.
Sean Spicer, the Press Secretary, informed about a similar attack in Atlanta.
The Swedish Migration Agency processed 81,000 refugees seeking asylum in 2014, 163,000 in 2015, and 29,000 in 2016. Another 25,000 to 45,000 are expected to be accepted this year. The last terrorist attack to occur on Swedish soil took place in 2010, a suicide bombing carried out by an Iraqi-born Swede who killed only himself and injured two others.
The Drumpf administration has yet to publicly respond to Sweden’s request for clarification.

After showing part of the ad, 84 Lumber directed people to check out Journey84.com to see the rest. That obviously didn’t work.

On Sunday afternoon, January 30, Drumpf sat down for a relaxing viewing of Ellen DeGeneres’ Finding Dory for his first official White House movie screening.
A soundproof theater presumably drowned out the raging protesters in his backyard (and around the country), furious over his immigration ban from just two days earlier. The irony of Trump watching Finding Dory in the wake of his executive order was not lost on some of the most astute writers on the internet, but the movie’s star wasn’t going to let it go either.
Even though Ellen DeGeneres, who plays the titular Dory, says she doesn’t “get political,” she took to her show on Tuesday, February 1, and got unquestionably political.
