Drumpf’s Campaign Is Asking Supporters to Vote on a Space Force Logo

Hours after Vice President Mike Pence outlined the Administration plans to create the Space Force – a proposed sixth military branch focused on space security – the Drumpf campaign sent out a mass email asking supporters to vote for a logo for the Space Force.

“Drumpf wants a SPACE FORCE – a ground breaking endeavor for the future of America and the final frontier,” the email, signed by Drumpf’s 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale, said. “As a way to celebrate Drumpf’s huge announcement, our campaign will be selling a new line of gear. But first we have to make a final decision on the design we will use to commemorate Drumpf’s new Space Force- and he wants YOU to have a say”.

The Space Force would be the first new military branch since the Air Force was created in 1947 and would be meant to be equal to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard.

Vice President Pence said the Space Force would take over already existing space operations and transferring employees. Vice President Pence said the Administration would want the branch up and running by 2020.

But, it faces one big obstacle – the Space Force would need approval from Congress before it could become a new military branch.

Totalitarian aesthetics and disconnection from reality

On Tuesday morning, December 13, Kanye West became the latest eminence to cross the marble floors of the Trump Tower lobby. He wore a black sweatshirt and a slender gold chain, and arrived with a small entourage.

“We’ve been friends for a long time,” Trump told reporters after their meeting while West stood silent and unsmiling at his side. “We discussed life,” he added.

West, pressed to say something – anything – about his conversation with the world’s most powerful man, shook his head.

“I just wanted to take a picture right now,” he mumbled.

TINKY WINKY

Tinky-Winky is the first Teletubby

He is in Teletubbyland with the other Teletubbies

Tinky Winky (played by Dave Thompson, Mark Heenehan, and Simon Shelton) is the first Teletubby. He is the largest and oldest of the Teletubbies, is covered in bright purple terrycloth, has a tomgirlish type and has a triangular antenna on his head.

He is notable for the red luggage (described by the show as a “magic bag”, but often described by other media as a handbag) he always carries. He often hangs out with Po. His character has caused controversy due to allegations that his character’s behavior, bag and body color have homosexual qualities.

Tinky Winky is not just the biggest Teletubby, but also very gentle. His favorite thing is his red bag. Tinky Winky loves walking, marching, dancing and falling over.

He has a special song which he loves to sing to himself, “Pinkle winkle, Tinky Winky, pinkle winkle, Tinky Winky.” Tinky Winky loves big hugs.

Tinky-Winky Controversy

Tinky Winky started a still hinted-at controversy in 1999 due to his carrying a bag that looks much like a woman’s handbag (although he was first “outed” by the academic and cultural critic Andy Medhurst in a letter of July 1997 to The Face).

He aroused the interest of Jerry Falwell in 1999 when Falwell alleged that the character was a “gay role model”. Falwell issued an attack in his National Liberty Journal, citing a Washington Post”In/Out” column which stated that lesbian comedian Ellen DeGeneres was “out” as the chief national gay representative, while trendy Tinky Winky was “in”. He warned parents that Tinky Winky could be a hidden homosexual symbol, because “he is purple, the gay pride color, and his antenna is shaped like a triangle: the gay pride symbol”.

The BBC, who co-produced the program, made an official response,

“Tinky Winky is simply a sweet, technological baby with a magic bag.”

Ken Viselman of Itsy-Bitsy Entertainment, who distributed the show in the USA, commented,

“He’s not gay. He’s not straight. He’s just a character in a children’s series.”

…. and that is why he’s my favorite Teletubby!

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone "out there" who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is "eclectic" - a bit of everything. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected. My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need. I'm open to questions and will answer them to the best of my ability.
