WE ALL KNOW THE MEANING OF THIS DATE

Independence Day, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence 241 years ago on July 4, 1776.

There’s always been a big celebration for this special American holiday.

I’m finding it difficult to get in the spirit of things.

I believe that there’s a collective sense of depression in this country since November 2016.

My therapist and I talk plenty about this topic. 

It’s been interesting and, not totally surprising, that two respectable, knowledgeable and amazing fellow bloggers have posted to the effect that this year the sense of euphoria, happiness and celebration has dimmed significantly.

I join them in that feeling.

I thought is was only me and it’s somewhat redeeming that others may share my feelings.

Sane Americans who possess a sense of empathy, compassion, pride, accomplishment, morality, and so much more, may feel the same.

I HAS A SAD!
