It may sound outlandish but there are certain mandatory items that every Puerto Rican needs in case of an emergency.
It can be an approaching hurricane, it can be the flu, it can be the heat, it can be an unplanned gathering.
Any event is a big deal for Puerto Ricans.
A supply of Bacardi is mandatory.
Krazy Glue is used for many purposes as well as “Alcoholado” or “Agua de Mamelis”.
Bustello coffee, the ‘Santeria’ candle, a ‘piragua’ (snow cone), Vick’s VapoRub, Adobo Goya and ‘pasteles’ area ‘must’.
You are ready to hunker down until the emergency is resolved.
