MY HERITAGE

WHERE I COME FROM

Hola, My name is Horty Rexach and just so you know, I was born and raised in Puerto Rico.

My parents met and married in New York City in the 1930’s.

They were from a Beautiful Island of Beautiful People in the middle of the ocean. surrounded by water.

Oh! … and we are Americans!!

Yes, American Citizens!
We speak Spanish and English as well as Spanglish!

Our little island, surrounded by big water, contributes more service members per capita than any other state in the union. We have astronauts, scientists, a Supreme Court Justice, Medal of Honor recipients, legendary sports figures, scholars, Oscar winners actors and actresses, internationally known musicians, and many, many more distinguished citizens who call our little beautiful island their Mother and Father Land.

We are a GORGEOUS and an interesting mix of Native Taíno Indians, Spaniards, African and other European blood that gives us our incredible drive to survive. 

I’m Puerto Rican and I’m damn proud of it!!!

Truth is most often used to mean being in accord with fact or reality, or fidelity to an original or to a standard or ideal.

The commonly understood opposite of truth is falsehood, which, correspondingly, can also take on a logical, factual, or ethical meaning. The concept of truth is discussed and debated in several contexts, including philosophy and religion. Many human activities depend upon the concept, where its nature as a concept is assumed rather than being a subject of discussion; these include most (but not all) of the sciences, law, and everyday life.

Various theories and views of truth continue to be debated among scholars, philosophers, and theologians. Language and words are a means by which humans convey information to one another and the method used to determine what is a “truth” is termed a criterion of truth. There are differing claims on such questions as what constitutes truth: what things are truth-bearers capable of being true or false; how to define and identify truth; the roles that faith-based and empirically based knowledge play; and whether truth is subjective or objective, relative or absolute.

Dad said, always tell the truth. To tell the truth, even being honest can be confusing. This young man loves chicken, just not the honest answer his teacher wanted.
