Gets Emotional With “Love on the Floor” on DWTS

On Dancing with the Stars, Cheryl Burke, the Mirror Ball Trophy-winning professional dancer returns to the show during the ninth week of performances. Cheryl will give an emotional sneak peek at her own live stage show, “Love on the Floor.” She brought the show to Japan first, in 2016, with Olympic gold medalist figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi who won Season 6 (2008) with Mark Ballas.

Cheryl says “Love on the Floor” is all “the relationships we go through – the romance, the passion, the hurt.” That said, she reassures fans that there is a happy ending in “Love on the Floor.”

We couldn’t take our eyes off of Simone Biles and Sasha Farber on Monday, May 15, Dancing with the Stars.

The duo danced a high-stepping Jive, set to “Faith” by Stevie Wonder and Ariana Grande, and worked with judge Carrie Ann Inaba for the performance.

Simone and Sasha earned 40 points, out of 40, from the judges.

During her video package, Simone opened up about the judges comments last week and how they did hurt her.

They did it again this week … a perfect score!

This is amazing talent.

Because of her race, womanhood, entertainer status with Fifth Harmony, Normani has been subjected to cyber-bullying.

This song was an anthem to the resilience and stamina to raise about it all.

The song was perfect and the performance flawless!

The singer and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy were completely amazing on Dancing with the Stars tonight.

Team ValMani performed a stunning Contemporary to “Freedom” by Anthony Hamilton and Elayna Boynton, earning 40 points out of 40 from the judges. Another perfect score!

“The piece is so symbolic of what I’ve been through,” Normani says of the dance that Val picked for her.

And they continued on to another dance that same night.

FIRST PERFECT SCORE

I have been watching this season of Dancing with the Stars, as usual.

There’s a few competitors who I really like.

This one was surprising.

Heather and Maks grew on me!

The final couple to dance in the first round is Heather Morris and Maks Chmerkovskiy (back from his calf injury), dancing a rumba to “Waterfalls” by TLC.

Nick Carter calls Heather “beautiful and elegant” and praises the storyline. He adds that it was his favorite dance of the night. Len Goodman says he loved it as well, calling it “a knockout dance.” Bruno Tonioli calls her stunning, adding that she “danced like a champion.” Carrie Ann Inaba says it was her best dance so far, calling Heather grounded and stunning.

They score a 40, the first perfect score of the season.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs.
