Humanity: “Season of Selfish Selfies”!!

~~February 20, 2016~~

Most likely, by now, most of you have seen this incident.

I’ve seem this picture, the report and the video come through my Facebook Timeline plenty of times.

It’s a sad, sad incident, among the many, that humanity has caused against Mother Nature.

There’s no respect for nature. There’s no knowledge or no interest in its well-being.

It’s a culture of “SELF”!

Clueless Argentinian Beachgoers

Kill Rare Baby Dolphin While Taking Selfies

‘Tourists in Argentina made international news this week after photos and video surfaced online of a mob of beach-goers taking photographs with a rare Franciscana dolphin was snatched out of the water by waders and brought up onto the beach where a horde of eager photographers posed for selfies and shared smiles with the marine creature.

The incident occurred at Playa Santa Teresita, on Argentina’s northern Atlantic coast.

While it should be common knowledge that dolphins cannot survive for long in the hot sun outside of the water, the photographs show many of the witnesses posing and taking photos, showing little concern for the welfare of the animal.’

“As it appears in …. full read/full credit”

You can watch the video here if you want yo.

I do not own this image.

No intention of taking credit.

If anyone knows the owner of any, please advise and it will be corrected immediately.

To start the day … “Meet Lily … Awesome Present”!!

World’s First Throw-and-Shoot Video Camera

on May 13, 2015 | Follow @BenjaminStarr
Meet Lily, the world’s first throw-and-shoot camera.

This highly innovative drone is a new way we take video and stills of our activities. Just throw it up in the air, and it tracks you in cinematic video, no matter if you’re riding a wave, kayaking down raging rapids or just off on a peaceful walk with the kids. This device is going to change the way we take selfies, and by that, I mean they’ll actually be good.

Lily uses a tracking device placed on the subject you want to follow. Throw Lily up in the air, and then get to doing whatever you want to film.

Lily is waterproof, portable enough to fit in a small backpack and shoots HD video, including slow motion at 60 or 120fps. You can also take 12 megapixel stills by pushing the button on the tracking device.

Subjects can move up to 25mph while Lily tracks them using GPS and its camera, always keeping them centered in the frame. The internal battery allows for 20 minutes of flight per charge. It has a number of different “Lily Shot” options, from subject tracking, to a loop mode which circles the subject.

The company is currently taking pre-orders on their website for $499, but when Lily starts shipping in February 2016 the price will go up to $999.

~Throw and shoot Lily camera Innovation~

~Published on May 27, 2015~

“Goodbye Selfie Goodbye NIXIE Welcome” Lily

Lily is the world’s first throw-and-shoot camera. Unlike other drones, the Lily Camera requires no controller as it follows the wearer’s bracelet. The camera follows the user via GPS tied to a bracelet, which communicates distance, position and speed back to the camera.

Equipped with an accelerometer, barometer, GPS and a front – and a bottom-facing camera, the camera gives users several vantage points with the hopes that it will eventually be able to sense weather as well as terrain. The camera is also completely waterproof.

So far the company has raised venture funding from Upside Partnership, SV Angel and High Line Venture Partners among others.
