In view of the current emotional times that women are going through in this very moment, I would like to share these videos about the very topic that is tearing apart this nation.
Lady Gaga and Diane Warren wrote this song together.
“If someone is assaulted or experiences trauma, there is science and scientific proof, it’s biology, that people change.
The brain changes. And literally what it does is it takes the trauma and it puts it in a box, and it files it away and shuts it so that we can survive the pain,” Gaga said emphatically.
“It also does a lot of other things, it can cause body pains, baseline elevations in anxiety, it can cause complete avoidance of wanting to even remember or think about what happened to you,” she continued.
‘Til It Happens to You” is a song produced and performed by American singer Lady Gaga. She co-wrote the song with Diane Warren for the 2015 documentary film The Hunting Ground, which deals with campus rape in the United States.

Los Angeles police said Thursday, October 27, they have a suspect in custody on suspicion of vandalizing Donald Trump’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star with a sledgehammer and a pick ax.
LAPD officer Tony Im said the suspect in custody is James Lambert Otis, the name given by the man who told CNN Wednesday he was responsible for the crime. Im said Otis is being held on a felony vandalism charge with $20,000 bail.
Otis, an heir to the Otis family’s elevator fortune, said in an interview with CNN on the Walk of Fame that he was vandalizing the star to help the 11 women who have accused Trump of sexually assaulting them, and other victims who he said could come forward in the future.
“I had four or five family members sexually assaulted, and I’m terribly upset that we have a presidential nominee who’s become sort of a poster child of sexual violence,” Otis said.
Brock Turner only spent 3 months in jail because Judge Persky cared more about his future than justice for the survivor.
To defeat #rapeculture we must understand it.

In feminist theory, rape culture is a setting in which rape is pervasive and normalized due to societal attitudes about gender and sexuality. There is disagreement over what defines rape culture and as to whether any societies currently meet the criteria for a rape culture.
Behaviors commonly associated with rape culture include victim blaming, sexual objectification, trivializing rape, denial of widespread rape, refusing to acknowledge the harm caused by some forms of sexual violence, or some combination of these.
The notion of rape culture has been used to describe and explain behavior within social groups, including prison rape, and in conflict areas where war rape is used as psychological warfare.
Entire societies have been alleged to be rape cultures.
Evidence suggests that rape culture is correlated with other social factors and behaviors. Rape myths, victim blaming, and trivialization of rape have been found to be positively correlated with racism, sexism, homophobia, ageism, classism, religious intolerance, and other forms of discrimination.
The Oscars have long been a platform for social activism.
The 88th Academy Awards certainly saw its fair share of advocacy, but one performance in particular brought some of Hollywood’s biggest names to tears on Sunday, February 28.
The “Oscar” people still haven’t released the official video of Lady Gaga’s performance at the 2016 Oscars. You only get snippets of it or you need to watch it in outlets that have been allowed to use it, I guess.
Nevertheless, ABC News reported on it and explains so much more about the relevance and importance of the song and the documentary it was written for.
Lady Gaga and Joe Biden lead the charge to take sexual assault seriously
Watch Lady Gaga Perform at the Oscars With Sexual Assault Survivors
Lady Gaga was joined onstage Sunday night by sexual assault survivors during her performance of the the Oscar nominated song “
From the documentary The Hunting Ground, about the epidemic of sexual assault on college campuses, Lady Gaga sings: “It gets better, it gets better, in time.”
Some of the women who joined Lady Gaga’s performance include journalist Zerlina Maxwell and activist Wagatwe Wanjuki.
Lady Gaga was joined by victims of sexual assault for a stirring performance of her Oscar-nominated song “Til It Happens to You,” from the documentary “The Hunting Ground.”
The song was introduced by Vice President Joe Biden, who implored the audience to take a pledge at ItsOnUs.org to “change the culture, so no abused woman or man should ever have to ask themselves what did I do.”
Gaga then appeared alone on stage, seated behind a white piano.
Singing powerfully the words, “til it happens to you, you don’t know how it feels,” she was joined by a dozens of abuse survivors. After standing in the shadows, they joined her on stage at the song’s climax. On each of their forearms was written different words, including “unbreakable” and “survivor.” Together they joined hands with the singer as the audience rose to their feet, clearly moved by Gaga’s performance.
