Turns out those dancing Stormtroopers from Saturday night, May 7, 2016,  Britain’s Got Talent are a dance troupe from Liverpool – and they’re led by a firefighter

Lee Seddon was unveiled as the leader of the group who wowed the judges with their dance routine to a medley of pop songs and who refused to talk or take off their helmets.

Now the group has been unmasked, and it has been revealed that Lee created the group less than a year ago with Robbie Tickle and dancers from Jennifer Ellison’s Jelli Studios on Edge

The Liverpool Echo confirmed that Lee bought three Stormtrooper costumes and a Darth Vader to use for promotional appearances but found that they were such a success, he decided to set up Empire Parties, with the troupe available for hire at parties.

‘Guys, girls, I don’t know who you are – I literally said if we can find Stormtroopers who can dance, seriously, I said that this show is going to go into a different league,’ Simon told the six on Saturday night after pressing the Golden Buzzer and sending them straight through to the semi-final.

Monday 21 March 2016 marks the 11th anniversary of World Down Syndrome Day.

Each year the voice of people with Down syndrome, and those who live and work with them, grows louder.

Down Syndrome International encourages our friends all over the world to choose your own activities and events to help raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome, and how people with Down syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities.

People with Down syndrome, on an equal basis with other people, must be able to enjoy full and equal rights, both as children and adults. This includes the opportunity to participate fully in their communities.

The reality for many is that prevailing negative attitudes result in low expectations, discrimination and exclusion, creating communities where children and adults with Down syndrome cannot integrate successfully with their peers.

But where children with Down syndrome and other disabilities are given opportunities to participate, all children benefit from this and environments of friendship, acceptance, respect for everyone and high expectations are created.

Not only this, but these environments prepare all today’s children for life as tomorrow’s adults, enabling adults with Down syndrome to live, work and participate, with confidence and individual autonomy, fully included in society alongside their friends and peers.

On World Down Syndrome Day, Monday 21 March 2016, join us to encourage children and adults with Down syndrome to say “My Friends, My Community” and get the world talking about the benefits for everyone of inclusive environments.

Evynne Hollens is a female vocalist who lives and works in her native Eugene, Oregon. Among her other accomplishments, she was one of the co-founders of the University of Oregon’s female a cappella group Divisi, with which she sang for five years.

Her name is the first word in the first chapter of the book Pitch Perfect, on which the movie of the same title is based. Her and Divisi’s adventures at the 2005 International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Finals make up a major portion of the book. She is married to Peter Hollens and they have one son, Ashland, born on March 31st, 2014. She frequently works with pianist Nathan Alef.

SLIMMING TREATMENT

While his wife is undergoing slimming treatment, André goes on a discovery tour of this very unusual center to find out what makes all the women so slim but else where in the center his wife’s treatment is not going to plan.

This short animation was directed by #Bertrand-Avril, #Pierre-Chomarat, #David-Dangin and #Thea-Matland at #Supinfocom-Arles.

Slimtime has some good animation and movement the look and fill of the animation is consistent, but the story line dose not present its message as clear as it could be but this is a nice peace of work thanks guys.

Ruby Rose: ‘I used to pray to God that I wouldn’t get breasts’

The Australian model, DJ and television personality opens up about her struggle with gender identity depicted in her new video

Everybody has a crush on Ruby Rose. Her heart-shaped jaw and piercing eyes first caught the attention of modeling agents when she was a child, and by her teens she was known as the cool tattooed girl on Australian MTV (her audition process required her to pound shots of beer and make out with strangers in the street).

And being gay was not much of a problem for mainstream television. While accepting an award for Favorite Female Personality in 2009, Rose impulsively blurted a question for her teenage tormenters: “Where are you now?!” The statement catapulted her to legitimate Australian sweetheart status, and won her a prestigious contract with Maybelline.

But being a beautiful, down-to-earth lesbian is far less challenging to the status quo than say, secretly wishing you were a boy. These are feelings Ruby has had since she was five or six. Throughout her life, she has oscillated between presenting as feminine and masculine (her “reincarnations,” she calls them), to varying degrees of happiness. In 2013, she cancelled a series of DJ gigs, citing “your ugly old friend Mr Depression.”

Last week, Rose released a very personal short film to tell that story, a gender-fluidity tribute called Break Free. Rose was the last person to predict the resonance that the video would have: at the time of writing, it has been watched almost 5 million times, and has gained Rose 200,000 new Facebook fans. The song, a previously unreleased, unmixed track by Butterfly Boucher, is being prepared for iTunes.

LET’S TALK ABOUT THE VIDEO

Obviously it’s very autobiographical. As a little kid, I was convinced that I was a guy. I used to bind with ACE bandages, which is really, really bad for you. I was like, five or six? I was really young. I didn’t have anything there to bind! I used to sleep on my chest because I thought it would stop me from getting boobs. I used to pray to God that I wouldn’t get breasts.

Then in my teens, I tried to be quite feminine. My mum was pushing me to do some modeling – everyone said I was a very pretty girl. And then one day it just got too much. I shaved my head and just went “Fuck you” to everyone who thought I need to look a certain way. And I got bullied after that. I found myself in really dangerous situations, where, if a guy said something to me like, “What are you? You’re a girl but you’re trying to be a boy,” or “Look at you, you’re disgusting” … if I talked back, a few times I got hit by guys. They’d say, “I would never hit a girl, but you’re not a girl.”

Eventually I went, “That’s it! I’ll grow my hair again, and try and be a girl.” Because I was pretty determined to get into entertainment, because I was bullied so much. I always said, “You watch! One day, I will do something, it will be great!” So I kind of did the more feminine thing again, did MTV, and after a little bit chopped everything off and am kind of back where it started.

So that’s kind of the video.

You can watch it both ways: you can watch it from the end to the beginning, and it’s exactly the same as watching it from the start to the end, depending if you’re a guy that feels like he’s in a woman’s body or a woman that’s in a guy’s body.
