Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) was a prominent Protestant pastor who emerged as an outspoken public foe of Adolf Hitler and spent the last seven years of Nazi rule in concentration camps.
Niemöller is perhaps best remembered for the quotation:
FIRST THEY CAME
~Wikipedia~
“The famous poem by an anti-Nazi pastor, rewritten for Donald Trump’s America”
To see Donald Trump methodically lay into one group after another during the months of the presidential campaign has been to see Niemöller’s warning writ large across our screens.
But during all these months, I haven’t noticed much speaking out by one group in support of another.
It’s time for everyone to remember Niemöller’s words, and speak out in support of anyone who becomes the target of this hate-monger and his alt-right cohorts.
At the end of the day, Trump is coming for all of us.

I feel this is important information about what is happening in the Republican Administration lead by Drumpf and what we need to be aware of.
Keith Olbermann series called “The Resistance” continues.
“It was no secret during the campaign that Drumpf was a narcissist and a demagogue who used fear and dishonesty to appeal to the worst in American voters. The Times called him unprepared and unsuited for the job he was seeking, and said his election would be a “catastrophe.”
It’s been said plenty of times that a new election may be needed.
This doesn’t stem from being sore losers or ‘snowflakes’.
It stems from the fact that the ‘so-called president’ demonstrated total lack of qualities mandatory in any kind of leader during the presidential campaign.
In spite of some advocating to give him a chance, he has continued to show his inexperience and total lack of empathy iwth the people he was elected to serve.
There’s a ‘de-facto’ line of succession in our government if the elected president and vice president aren’t able to continue in their posts.
Believe you me, none of them are worthy to hold the highest office in the land.
Hence, be careful what we wish for!
The time to vote again should be in November 2018.
The 2018 United States elections will mostly be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. These midterm elections will take place in the middle of Republican President Drumpf’s term.
All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 34 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. 39 state and territorial governorships and numerous other state and local elections will also be contested.

First National Strike Against Donald Trump Planned For 2/17
A growing number of activists are calling for a general national strike against President Drumpf on February 17, 2017
… the Friday before President’s Day. In addition to the nationwide marches and protests, the first of possibly many general non-violent strikes are meant to send a message of widespread disapproval to Trump, his administration and to the Republicans who enable him.
This grassroots movement is calling for a national general strike on February 17th, 2017 in defense of our nation’s constitution.
Participants pledge to be non-violent. On the day of the strike, we will not go to work (unless absolutely necessary). We will not go to school (unless necessary). We will not spend any money (unless necessary).
Instead, we will show dissent with unconstitutional governance through gatherings and activities to be organized at the local/personal level. Some communities are planning a day of service. Instead of work, strikers will dedicate their time to serving neighbors in need. Find your people.
Make your plan.
SPREAD THE WORD!

1. No Ban, No Wall. The Muslim ban is immoral, the wall is expensive and ineffectual. We will build bridges, not walls.
2. Healthcare For All. Healthcare is a human right. Do not repeal the ACA. Improve it or enact Medicare for All.
3. No Pipelines. Rescind approval for DAPL and Keystone XL and adopt meaningful policies to protect our environment. It’s the only one we’ve got.
4. End the Global Gag Rule. We cannot put the medical care of millions of women around the globe at risk.
5. Disclose and Divest. Show us your taxes. Sell your company. Ethics rules exist for a reason and presidents should focus on the country, not their company.
Nonviolent resistance (NVR or nonviolent action) is the practice of achieving goals such as social change through symbolic protests, civil disobedience, economic or political noncooperation, satyagraha, or other methods, without using violence.

As the day draws closer, as more and more policies are withdrawn and rejected, as new ones as forcibly introduce, we must stand up.
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibits the United States Congress from enacting legislation that would abridge the right of the people to assemble peaceably.
The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution makes this prohibition applicable to state governments.
The Supreme Court of the United States has held that the First Amendment protects the right to conduct a peaceful public assembly.
Bundy Brothers Acquitted in Takeover of Oregon Wildlife Refuge
By COURTNEY SHERWOOD and KIRK JOHNSON
Armed anti-government protesters led by Ammon and Ryan Bundy were acquitted Thursday, October 27, of federal conspiracy and weapons charges stemming from the takeover of a federally owned wildlife sanctuary in Oregon last winter.
The surprise acquittals of all seven defendants in Federal District Court were a blow to government prosecutors, who had argued that the Bundys and five of their followers used force and threats of violence to occupy the reserve.
But the jury appeared swayed by the defendants’ contention that they were protesting government overreach and posed no threat to the public.
At last, someone, somewhere is developing the guts to come out and tell this ’emperor’ that he has no clothes!!
This ‘man’ doesn’t represent the USA!
This man doesn’t represent me.
I strongly believe there are plenty others out there who feel the same way I do.
Sure, he has a base. That base has always been there but they remained in the fringes.
They were hiding.
This ‘man’ has opened the door for hate, bigotry, racism, xenophobia, misogynistic views, cheating, dishonesty, tax evasion, bullying and so much more to come out to the forefront.
Those embracing his ideas are indeed deplorable because these values and ideas are deplorable.
“El silencio otorga.”
“Silence is/implies/gives consent.”
This means your silence makes you complicit and you tacitly agree.
I find it very interesting how, when any event takes place, I like to go back and look for the history behind it.
Why did the event take place?
Colin Kaepernick’s statement is such a situation for me.
I’m not a football fan. I’d never heard of Kaepernick.
I sure know about him now!
I have been following the stories about excessive force in law enforcement events since Trayvon Martin’s death. It really came to my full attention with Michael Brown’s death.
Since then, I’ve been up on follow up events, situations and details.
I followed Tamir Rice, Eric Garner, Sandra Bland, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile … many more in between and many after.
I consider myself to be a fair, balanced individual.
There’s no doubt in my mind that these are instances of excessive police force.
Rather than de-escalation, it’s escalation.
It’s more prevalent within the African-American population.
This is the message that Keapernick is trying to bring to the forefront.
Seems to me he’s done a good job at calling attention to this matter.
The Forgotten Verses of “The Star-Spangled Banner”
Do you know all the words to “The Star-Spangled Banner”?
Many people have difficulty memorizing the lyrics of the first verse of this song, which is commonly performed at sports events and other public gatherings. But did you know that there are three additional verses that we almost never hear?
In 1814, the poet and lyricist Francis Scott Key penned the lyrics to “The Star-Spangled Banner,” originally known as “Defense of Fort M’Henry.” During the War of 1812, Key witnessed the attacks on Baltimore and wrote the words based on his experiences this night. These lyrics were printed in local newspapers and set to the tune of an existing song called “Anacreon in Heaven,” and then officially arranged by John Philip Sousa. Key’s famous lyrics entered the world as a broadside ballad, or a song written on a topical subject, and printed for wide distribution.
More than a century later, in 1916, President Woodrow Wilson signed an executive order designating “The Star-Spangled Banner” as the national anthem, and in 1931, the US Congress confirmed the decision. The tune has kicked off ceremonies of national importance and athletic events ever since.
While the first verse of “The Star-Spangled Banner” is widely known by the American public, the last three verses are generally omitted in performances.
The degree of obvious racism and white supremacy sentiment, which has always been hiding in the wings of this society, has come forth and continued to grow.
Mexicans, Muslims, Latinos and many other people of color have been the target of plenty vitriolic comments.
When whites arrived in this country, they had to “dispose” of the “red man”.
The policies of this belief have continued undaunted.
The current political climate has done nothing to stop it.
In the 19th century, manifest destiny was a widely held belief in the United States that its settlers were destined to expand across North America.
Historians broadly agree that there are three basic themes to manifest destiny:
The special virtues of the American people and their institutions
The mission of the United States to redeem and remake the west in the image of agrarian America
An irresistible destiny to accomplish this essential duty
Historian Frederick Merk says this concept was born out of “a sense of mission to redeem the Old World by high example … generated by the potentialities of a new earth for building a new heaven”.
During the months of June 2016, a Donald Trump-inspired congressional candidate has sparked outrage by plastering “Make America White Again” on billboards in eastern Tennessee.
Rick Tyler, an Independent running in the 3rd District that includes the city of Chattanooga, almost immediately started catching hell for his racist spin on the presumptive Republican presidential candidate’s slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
Colin Kaepernick has awakened some serious issues for the caucasian European humans in The United Slave States Of AmeriKKKlan. See, in AmeriKKKa, we The People Of Color, are aware of racism on a daily basis.
We The People Of Color understand there is NO such thing as a “post racial America.” We The People Of Color live racism everyday, no matter what our so called “station” in life happens to be in our minds.
