SAYING GOODBYE IS NEVER EASY

I vividly remember that night in Chicago when this young family walked unto the stage, into a huge crowd of people mesmerized by the fact that Barack Obama had been elected President of the United States.

I remember Michelle’s black and red dress.

I remember the two young girls walking along, hand in hand, with their parents.

What could they have been thinking?

Today is, technically, their last day in the White House.

I’m sure that by now they have already packed and moved along.

It wasn’t a perfect presidency.

Many goals were accomplished, many weren’t.

The fact remains that advancement in many causes was achieved.

I say goodbye, from the heart, to this family who offered their unqualified, sincere service to this country.

Fare thee well, Obamas!

In my heart forever!

The best place to have a hammock is on the coastline of Puerto Rico, under a canopy of greenery, palm trees and lulled by the sound of the ocean waves crashing upon the sand very close to your feet.

Been there … love it!!

It’s a beautiful, sunny day in my neck of the woods. The rain has gone. It’s breezy, cool and sunny.

Another chance to make things better. Another chance to advance in my life’s path and plan. Grateful for another day.

I will live this day to the fullest. I will squeeze all the potential out of it. I will enjoy every second, every minute and every hour of it.
