Janet needs no introduction. She’s known worldwide of the Jacksons’ family fame.

Daddy Yankee needs no intro in the world of reggaeton.

Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez (born February 3, 1977), known by his stage name Daddy Yankee, is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, and record producer. Ayala was born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, and was raised in the neighborhood of Villa Kennedy Housing Projects.

Daddy Yankee is the artist who coined the word Reggaeton in 1994 to describe the new music genre that was emerging from Puerto Rico.

Janet Jackson and Daddy Yankee performed “Made for Now,” their new collaboration, for the very first time on television Friday night (Aug. 18). The pair took their own advice and moved their bodies with the upbeat song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Never in a million years could we have dreamed up a collab between Janet Jackson and Daddy Yankee, but alas, it’s 2018 and anything is possible in a post-Despacito universe. After they were spotted filming the video last month in New York, the reggaeton icon and pop titan have finally unleashed “Made for Now,” which finds the pair floating through the streets of Brooklyn with a troupe of international dancers from Ghana, Nigeria, Grenada, and Trinidad.

As we previously reported, the production of “Made for Now” harnesses Afrobeats’ global pop explosion, and dancers are dressed in bold, colorful prints. The Big Boss hops in towards the end of the track to drop off some posi vibes and underscore the song’s message of celebrating the present moment.

Jackson and Yankee worked on the music video with famed director Dave Meyers, who has collaborated with Missy Elliott, Britney Spears, Kendrick Lamar, and more. The two legends are set to perform the new song together on The Tonight Show on Friday.

Everyone’s favorite “Star Wars” characters rock out to Smash Mouth’s “All Star” in this cool video

The force was strong with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night, May 3, as he and his crew at NBC’s “Tonight Show” made a lip dub video in honor of Thursday’s holiday: Star Wars Day.

In a bit before his guest interviews, Fallon brought out a box filled with audience suggestions.

One fan wrote: “Tomorrow is May 4th and May the 4th be with you. I love ‘Star Wars.’ I also love the song ‘All Star’ by Smash Mouth, which got me thinking. Can you show all the stars from ‘Star Wars’ singing ‘All Star’ to celebrate?”

Ed Sheeran followed the lead of Adele, Carly Rae Jepsen, Mariah Carey, and other musicians to recreate one of his hit songs using classroom instruments.

Sheeran joined Jimmy Fallon and The Roots on the February 27th’s episode of “The Tonight Show” for a performance of his smash single “Shape of You.”

The band used plastic xylophones, a melodica, ukulele, guiro, kazoo, and tambourine, as well as an apple-shaped shaker and blocks to recreate the radio staple. In addition to providing vocals, Sheeran also got his hand on an instrument of his own: the banana-shaped shaker.

GOOD TO SEE CELINE

It’s been a long week.

It’s been a myriad of feelings, an abundance of harsh comments, completely different view points.

At last the RNC is over.

René Angélil, Céline’s beloved husband died on January 14, 2016 after a long battle with cancer.

This is wholesome fun.

A treat, a relief from tension coming from different aspects of our lives and our world.

It’s good to see Céline enjoying herself with Jimmy. 

My face broke into a full, ear to ear smile, watching these two entertainers.

I hope you enjoy this posting and the video.

Céline Dion did work, work, work, work, work on “The Tonight Show” Thursday, July 21.

During a game of “Musical Impressions,” the singer broke out a little bit of Cher and  Michael Jackson, but pulled out all the stops when Rihanna came up.

(Come Mr. DJ song pon de replay.)

Dion sang “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” to the tune of Rihanna’s “Work” before reaching her final form and twerking. 

It’s not necessarily a staccato twerk, but we’ll give it to her.

(P.S. This post doesn’t even mention Dion’s Sia impression. This one’s all about the twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk, twerk.)

The Orlando shooting was a tragic event which touched the hearts of many.

Innocent humans were killed at the whim of a thoughtless person.

It’s been a month and several days since the incident.

Many people have been moved and felt the need to render tribute to those lost on that day.

This is one long waited tribute since Jennifer López and Lin-Manuel Miranda announced their collaboration.

Both of them have Puerto Rican heritage.

The majority of the victims were from Puerto Rico.

Here is their tribute to the victims.

Jennifer López and “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda joined forces for a good cause. Their new song, “Love Make The World Go Round,” was just released on iTunes. It’s a tribute to everyone affected by the tragic shooting in Orlando.

They perform the song live on the TODAY plaza to an audience that includes survivors of the nightclub shooting as well as family members of some of the victims.

A fun dance track with a serious purpose.

Last week, Jennifer Lopez and “Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda released “Love Make the World Go Round,” a tribute to those affected by the Orlando Pulse shooting, with sales of the single benefiting survivors of the tragedy.

On Monday, July 11, they performed the song live for the very first time on TODAY, in front of an audience that included 50 Orlando survivors and family members.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and Jennifer Lopez are spreading a simple message: love makes the world go around.

The two appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday and delivered an emotional performance of their new song “Love Makes The World Go Round.”

The performance was a more intimate rendition than their first live performance of the collaboration on the Today show earlier this week.

Lopez, 46, opened the performance wearing a long cape over her outfit that spanned several feet and resembled stained glass windows of a church.

This weekend’s night club shooting in Orlando was still fresh in everyone’s minds when America’s late-night hosts returned from their weekend break on Monday night, June 13. An emotional Jimmy Fallon addressed the events in his opening monologue on The Tonight Show.

“Maybe there’s a lesson in all this. A lesson in tolerance,” he said. “We need to support each other’s differences and worry less about our own opinions.

Get back to debate, and away from believing or supporting the idea that if someone doesn’t live the way you want them to live, you just buy a gun and kill them.

We need to get back to being brave enough to accept that we have different opinions, and that’s okay, because that’s what America is built on.

The idea that we can speak up and live our lives and not be punished for that, or mocked on the internet, or killed by someone you don’t know.”

Fallon also had some specific words for the Orlando community.

“When I think of Orlando, I think of nothing but fun and joy and families,” Fallon said.

“If anyone can do it, you can.

Keep loving each other, keep respecting each other, and keep on dancing.”

‘Orange is not the new black,’ Obama quips in reference to Donald Trump

With just a few months left of his eight-year term, President Obama kicked off a farewell tour of sorts with a return to The Tonight Show Thursday. This wasn’t the contemplative nostalgia of something like George Washington’s Hamilton farewell song “One Last Time,” at least not yet; there are still too many Donald Trump jokes to make.

As part of the show’s “Slow Jam the News” segment, Obama actually made perhaps one of the best Trump jokes to date.

When host Jimmy Fallon asked if Obama had watched recent election coverage on Trump, the president responded, “No, but I have been watching my new favorite show, Orange Is Not the New Black.”
