Why do I Blog? …. “My Very Personal Perspective …. “!!

MY PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE

I retired from my full time job as a physician with the Veterans Administration in February 2013.

I knew I was going to have plenty of time on my hands and wanted to find something to do.

It was almost by chance that I started blogging.

With the help of a very dear friend, Ra-Mazing, this platform was set up.

This is part of what my ‘about‘ says on this blog:

“I want to offer any knowledge that I have to anyone “out there” who is interested. My views are liberal in almost every sense. My knowledge is “eclectic” – a bit of everything.

Music and reading are my passion.

Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I’m interested in news – reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse – the “wrongly” affected.

My intention is to bring this knowledge to an understandable level and to help anyone in need.”

We ALL are ONE!!

My intentions are truly to share any knowledge I have with anyone who is willing to listen.

However, it seems to me, that almost all I post about now is related to this ‘man‘ who has been chosen by Russia to be the in-coming president of the country I live in.

You may not believe me but, even though it looks different, I’m tired of his antics.

I don’t want to focus only on him.

However, the lighthearted part of me seems to have taken a back seat in view of the seriousness of what we face.

Plenty of times I wonder why I stay on this track.

I received an answer today!

A dear friend, from across the oceans, sent me this message today, and with his permission, I’m sharing this with you!

He made my day!

Hi, Horty

Just thought I’d let you know that you are in my thoughts and that I’m proud of how you have registered your disgust and displeasure at the imminent installation of Fuckface von Clownstick as leader of the (currently) free world.
I really feel for you and your fellow sane Americans and I’m glad there are so many of you with principles and a conscience; it’s people like you who are the true hope for the future.

Know that you have my undying admiration, for your staunch defense of your country in the face of such ignorance and hate and I’m very glad to call you my friend.

Stay strong and continue to resist the odious rhetoric of Orange Donnie and his cronies and be sure that you will always have support from those of us who value love and compassion above stupidity and jingoism.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER … STICK TOGETHER

Puerto Rican culture has many nuances, details and idiosyncrasies, among other things, that those who aren’t Puerto Rican may not understand.

Hence … “It’s a Puerto Rican thing”.

As a Puerto Rican living in the mainland, I have American friends who wonder about our actions, sayings, beliefs and sense of humor.

Plenty of times, I say … ‘it’s a Puerto Rican thing’ .. and then explain.

It really is a Puerto Rican thing!

THIS REALITY ALWAYS REMINDS ME OF PASTOR NIEMOLLER

Why do I use this graphic with the pastor’s poem?

Because in any sane mind,  we find hard time explaining the state of American politics.

Most of all rise of Donald Trump.

He’s come after almost every ethnic groups, many established personalities and caters to white, right-wing fundamentalists.

If you are lucky not to be in any of these groups, consider that, when it’s your time, no one will be there to rescue you.

Maybe this is what’s happened in the Middle East.

Niemöller originally intended to warn against passive detachment in believing dangerous power persecuting one group wouldn’t eventually seek to target all, as occurred during the Nazis’ rise to power.

IOTD …. “Image of the day, #262: ”Where am I heading?”!!

WHERE AM I HEADING

What I don’t seem to understand,
the position in what I really am.
Keeping it from my self righteous path.
No blood writing to define the epitaph.

No relationship with God or Lucifer.

Its like I am a living hidden wager.
Will they still save a empty plate for me?
Wide open for these blind eyes to see.

The end of this beginning is moving too slow.

Questioning the sum of the grave every day just wanting to know. Unanswered riddles while time through the hourglass is on a merciless run.

When judgement day is behind the conjured light of the sun.

Cannot deny it, cannot outsmart it.
Just didn’t want to believe in an opening of this seat.
Where am I heading now that the question has been drinking my mind?

Unirest and divide this notion before it slips into smaller ankerments of its kind.
