Just after midnight on Sunday night, August 26, the flag flying above the White House was hoisted back to full staff.
Earlier Monday, the White House flag had returned to its regular position even as other flags around Washington – including at the US Capitol – remained in the half-staff mourning position. But on Monday afternoon, August 27, the White House once again lowered the flag to half-staff and Trump, in his statement said he “signed a proclamation to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff until the day of his interment.”
Drumpf has been mocked for forgetting the colors of the American flag during a visit to a children’s hospital this weekend.
In pictures posted by Mr. Azar on Twitter, Drumpf fills in one of the stripes on the star-spangled banner with a blue felt-tip pen.
Drumpf has show his true colors from the moment he descended the golden escalator in 2015. There hasn’t been any instance in which he’s done the ‘proverbial pivot’ or any moment in which he has ‘become presidential’.
“Most white supremacist and Nazi arrived armed like a paramilitary force – carrying shields, protective gear, rods and, yes, lots of guns, utilizing Virginia’s loose firearm laws. They used militarized defensive maneuvers, shouting commands at one another to ‘move forward’ or ‘retreat,’ and would form a line of shields or a phalanx – it’s like they watched ‘300’ a few times – to gain ground or shepherd someone through projectiles. It seemed that they had practiced for this.”
According to The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Politics, in liberal democracies, the political Right opposes socialism and social democracy.
Right-wing parties include conservatives, Christian democrats, classical liberals, nationalists and, on the far Right, racists and fascists.
The general consensus among political scientists is that “left wing” includes liberals, progressives, socialists and communists, and the “right wing” includes conservatives, traditionalists, reactionaries and fascists.

Last night, February 5, Lady Gaga literally took a leap of faith (via some very trustworthy suspension cables) when she opened her Super Bowl Halftime Performance with a riff on patriotic classics.
After her epic (and already-memed) dive towards the stage, our Lady fearlessly sang her anthem, “Born This Way,” resplendent in crystal eye makeup and a glittering ensemble. If ever there was a time for “Yas Gaga,” this was it.
Budweiser’s Super Bowl Ad And The Great Debate Over What It Means To Be An American
“You don’t look like you’re from around here,” a young Adolphus Busch is told as he arrives in America from Germany to pursue his dream of making beer. So begins Budweiser’s new Super Bowl ad, released earlier this week into an ongoing political maelstrom over immigration.
The ad depicts the company’s founder trudging through swamps and mud, surviving a steamboat fire and being greeted with outright hostility before getting to St. Louis and meeting Eberhard Anheuser – i.e., the Anheuser in Anheuser-Busch.
Despite the beer giant’s protestations that the ad is not political, it has hit a nerve among conservatives for taking a seemingly pro-immigrant stance at a time of widespread protests against Drumpf’s ban on travelers from seven Muslim-majority nations.
It seems that some Americans have a problem with people speaking another language besides English.
Somehow the idea that it is more helpful, not to say, a sign of higher educational level,
speaking a language besides English, in some areas in America, may be looked totally insulting.
I speak from personal experience.
I worked with the federal government for many years. I moved to Florida in 1999 and experienced this fact. Folks I worked with minded the times I spoke in Spanish, my main language.
Being fluent in both, I had to mispronounce my name so that Americans understood it.
Here’s what Ellen DeGeneres had to say about Drumpf screening ‘Finding Dory’ right after his Muslim ban
On Sunday afternoon, January 30, Drumpf sat down for a relaxing viewing of Ellen DeGeneres’ Finding Dory for his first official White House movie screening.
A soundproof theater presumably drowned out the raging protesters in his backyard (and around the country), furious over his immigration ban from just two days earlier. The irony of Trump watching Finding Dory in the wake of his executive order was not lost on some of the most astute writers on the internet, but the movie’s star wasn’t going to let it go either.
Even though Ellen DeGeneres, who plays the titular Dory, says she doesn’t “get political,” she took to her show on Tuesday, February 1, and got unquestionably political.
