The duo performed the Argentine Tango to “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás” by Andrea Bocelli featuring Jennifer Lopez.

The genre they were given for “Movie Night” week was “Foreign” – and the judges awarded them a perfect score!

They were given immunity this week due to their high score.

TONIGHT IS DECISION NIGHT

Three couples remain.

Any one has the potential to be the winner of it all.

Each couple performed two dances: a Redemption Dance and the Freestyle.

All are deserving of the title of champion and taking the mirrored ball home.

I must say this will be a hard decision.

The numbers are very close.

Ginger has been battling a bad injury.

Yet, she managed to present two almost flawless performances.

Ginger Zee’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Finals Freestyle Dance

Ginger Zee and her dancing pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy take on two amazing dances during Dancing with the Stars finals on Monday (May 23).

The 35-year-old Good Morning America meteorologist and her pro partner did their redemption dance to “Adventure of a Lifetime” by Coldplay in the style of Jazz. They received a score of 28 out of 30. For their second dance, a freestyle, Ginger and Val took on “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat King Cole.

They received a perfect 30 out of 30 for this dance.

On Tuesday (May 24), the Mirror Ball winner will be revealed and it will either be Ginger, Paige VanZant, or Nyle DiMarco.

There was a question as to whether Ginger would even dance Monday evening, as she has been battling a bad injury.

DWTS is one of my favorite reality shows. I love music and I love dancing.

The couples who are left are very talented and have shown improvement from the get go.

This performance was electrifying.

Viennese Waltz Performance

“Dancing with the Stars” was celebrating the tunes of musical icons on Monday night, May 2, 2016.

The audience and judges clapped along while contestants and their partners danced to the likes of U2, Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley and the Rolling Stones.

Ginger Renee Colonomos known by her pseudonym Ginger Zee, is an Emmy Award-winner American television personality.

She is the current weather anchor for Good Morning America and ABC World News Tonight on ABC and before that was their weekend weather anchor.

Zee is the Chief Meteorologist for all of ABC News’ platforms.

Coming out of their shell after receiving disappointing critiques last week, Ginger Zee and partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy got a 10 from all three judges after dancing the Viennese Waltz to Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing.”

The entire routine felt very dramatic and yet lyrical with the spotlight only shining on them as they glided in front of mirrors place around the back of the stage.

“That was incredible! I burst into to tears I was so happy,” CarrieAnne Inaba said.

“It was refreshing,” Len Goodman, said. “It had just the right of everything,”

“Impeccable,” Bruno Tonioli, gushed. “You’re best dance so far.”

In fact, based on Zee’s perfect score, it was the best dance of all of Season 22 so far.

The switch up proved to be the needed push for most competitors to step up their game.

You may know I am very partial to Bindi Irwin.

Bindi Irwin and Val Chmerkovskiy’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Cha Cha

Last week, Bindi blew people’s minds with an emotional tribute to her dad, so this week Val knew he had a lot to live up to. Fortunately, he is the master of creating great, technically impressive dances, and he really pushed Bindi to new levels.

While this dance didn’t have the emotional impact of last week’s dance, it’s the sharpest she’s ever been. It was a hard Cha-Cha (the hardest he’s done on the show, according to Val), and Bindi killed it.

The judges agreed.

They all loved it and gave her 37/40.

Rumer Willis & Val Chmerkovskiy Won ‘Dancing With The Stars‘ and They Totally Deserved The Mirrorball Trophy

It’s been a really close race for this season’s frontrunners, but on Tuesday. May 19, 2015, Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy won Dancing With The Stars, and the golden Mirrorball trophy has never been more well-deserved. Honestly, it could have gone to any of the top three contestants and I would have been happy; they all worked equally hard and were extremely talented.

But, I was glad to see Rumer and Val win because it proved that talent is rewarded in this competition. 

The win was special for a number of reasons, but also because it granted pro Val his first victory. He’s been with the show since 2006, teaching countless celebrities how to dance; it was about time that he took home the win. This was an incredible season, and it was a good one to mark the show’s 10th anniversary. Never has there been such a tight competition filled with so many deserving stars.

Rumer Willis And Val Chmerkovskiy’s Judge’s Choice Dance

JUDGES’ CHOICE

The judges act as mentors to the couples and take over creative control. They pick the music, the concept, the costumes and the lighting. They won’t judge the couple they mentor.

The Dancing With The Stars semifinals were amazing!

Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy, Riker Lynch and Allison Holker, Nastia Liukin, Sasha Farber and Derek Hough, Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess faced off during Week 9 of DWTS to make their way into the finals. But it was Noah’s proposal to his girlfriend that was clearly the most shocking moment of the evening.

Each of the semifinalists had been on the top of the leaderboard at one point. Len wasn’t surprised. Rumer, Riker and Nastia were always top dancers while Noah was always a fan-favorite even if he wasn’t always the judges’ favorite.

And Week 9 was an incredible, emotional week of DWTS. The dances were so good that Bruno felt like it was the finals.

In the judges’ choice category, Bruno picks the theme from “Swan Lake” for a Rumer/Val contemporary fusion. Bruno seeks passion, lyricism, range and personality. “I don’t know why everyone assumes that if you’re from Eastern Europe you do ballet,” a befuddled Val says during rehearsal.

Bruno goes on about wanting Val shirtless and in white tights, though he’s covered up for the dance. It’s a neat trick of lighting that makes Rumer go from white swan to black. She swirls upward into Val’s arms before one lift. At times, there’s a softness we typically don’t see from Val. It’s Bruno, yet it’s also distinctly Rumer and Val. It’s not 100% contemporary or ballet, though – is that why it’s fusion?

Len utters, “Bruno, great concept. Val, wonderful choreography. Rumer, brilliant dancing.” Carrie Ann declares it “genius mad.” Bruno exalts in the skybox until Erin cuts him off. Score: 30 (and Bruno pumps his fists at those 10s even more than Rumer and Val do).

PERFECT ENDING

I have been a follower of this show since it started. There have been times that it’s disappointing. My main pet peeve doesn’t have to do with the production or the contestants that are chosen. It is the fact that the music that is chosen doesn’t seem the best for the Latin dances: Salsa, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble.

Coming from a Latin country, I’m fully aware of the music that should accompany these styles of dance. Yet, I stay and watch the show.

Last night, the selection for the rumba was perfect and couple that to the flawless renditions of Rumer and Val, it made for a beautiful dance.

Rumer Willis & Val Chmerkovskiy Get Perfect Score For Rumba on DWTS

Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy definitely impressed the judges on Dancing With The Stars on Monday night (May 4, 2015).

Team ValenRue scored a perfect 40 from the judges for their Rumba to “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps” by Doris Day for America’s Choice.

Even judge Len Goodman gave them a 10 for keeping it simple!

Rumer Willis and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy nabbed the very first perfect score of this season on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” after dancing a flawless rumba to the song “Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps” by Doris Day on America’s Choice Night.

Julianne Hough told the pair after their first dance, “This was the Rumer and Val we met at the beginning. I’m so passionate about the way that you dance.” She went on to say, “That was the best dance I think you’ve done.”

Len Goodman noted it was “simple” and “beautiful,” adding, “It’s great … fantastic!” Carrie Ann Inaba gushed, “That was incredible. It was sheer perfection.”

And Bruno Tonioli exclaimed, “It was a pitch perfect, refined, high-class rumba.”

Dancing With the Stars Season 20, Week 5 was Disney Week, and Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy did a Samba to “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from “The Little Mermaid“.

Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy practice in the swimming pool in preparation for their Samba to ‘Poor Unfortunate Souls‘ from ‘The Little Mermaid.’

In their video package, we see that Rumer asked to play a villain, which we love. Val explained that Len is a purist, and Rumer is going to give him the traditional Samba he will want. Rumer is aiming for some 10’s. She even went swimming to practice dance moves in water to get the right feel. Val said she’s worked very hard this week.

Rumer really got into it, and her actual Samba is great. This girl knows how to perform … and shimmy!

One of the best dances of the season so far, if you ask us. Also, we must say, this song is really so fantastic.

Carrie Ann said it was creative and awesome, it turned her on. Len said she’s a fantastic dancer. Julianne said she made Ursula sexy. Bruno called it deliciously wicked, she was brilliant.
