Jordan Fisher and Tony Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda star in the new music video for âYouâre Welcome,â a song from the hit animated Disney film Moana. The song is heard during the end credits of the film, for which Miranda wrote part of the score and earned an Oscar nomination.
This isnât Fisherâs first time singing a Miranda score.
The 22-year-old recently starred in his iconic musical Hamilton as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton on Broadway, a role originated by Anthony Ramos.
In the live-action video, Jordan Fisher sings through the streets of New York before getting a text from Miranda to meet him in a London recording studio, where the Broadway star slays Mauiâs rap.
(Miranda canât really come to the Big Apple, as heâs currently filming Mary Poppins Returns in the U.K.)
This version of âYouâre Welcomeâ features on the official motion picture soundtrack.
Fans of Disneyâs Descendants have been patiently awaiting the sequel (Descendants 2) since the first filmâs release in 2015.
The film is due for release on 21 July 2017 on 5 different networks, and fans of the series cannot wait.
To further promote the film, the cast performed a medley of âWays To Be Wickedâ and, hit song from the first film âRotten To The Coreâ, on this weekâs Dancing With The Stars. Dove Cameron who plays Mal, Sofia Carson who plays Evie, Cameron Boyce who plays Carlos, and Booboo Stewart who plays Jay, all took part in the performance.
The performance recreates moments from the official music video and is full of energy from start to finish. It also has a fantastic dance break half way through and the judges even get up and have a dance.
Beauty and the Beast is a 2017 American musical romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon from a screenplay written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos.
A co-production between Walt Disney Pictures and Mandeville Films, the film is a live-action remake of Disney’s 1991 animated film of the same name, itself an adaptation of Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont’s eighteenth-century fairy tale.

‘Beauty and the Beast’s ‘gay moment’ may have been much ado about nothing
So what exactly caused all this controversy?
The “gay moment” that Condon was referring to is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot in the film’s final seconds.
LeFou, the villain Gaston’s side-kick, dances with a man in the final ball sequence just before the credits roll. There are oblique references to LeFou’s sexuality over the course of the film. He is portrayed as having something of an unrequited crush on Gaston, having euphemistic conversations about their relationship and looking longingly at him during the song Gaston.

Disney released the music video for âHow Far Iâll Goâ from animated film âMoanaâ on Thursday, November 3, sung by Canadian singer Alessia Cara.
The video features the sweet-faced singer and songwriter singing on a beach, between shots of her walking alongside the water to closeups of her face as the wind blows through her hair.
All the while, she sings, âSee the line where the sky meets the sea?/It calls me/And no one knows how far it goes/If the wind on my sail on the sea stays behind me/One day Iâll know, if I go thereâs just no telling how far Iâll go âŠâ
âHow Far Iâll Goâ was written by âHamiltonâ creator and Tony Award-winner Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote all the filmâs songs alongside Mark Mancina.
To go along with the release of the new animated Disney movie Zootopia, Shakira shared a music video for âTry Everything,â in which she stars.
Shakira voices Gazelle, a singer in the city of Zootopia.
Shakira told People,
“The one thing they took as a suggestion was that she was a little too skinny for me. So I asked them to give her a little â to give her bigger hips.â
The âTry Everythingâ video alternates between clips of Shakira in the studio and footage from Zootopia, including performance shots of Shakiraâs animated character singing in an arena-sized venue – not too far off from the Colombian pop starâs real life.

I love that movie.
Whose heart didn’t warm up to the cuteness of such a cool film?
The merits are many: story line, characters, computer animation and lessons learned.
I simply love Dory (how couldn’t I? It’s Ellen!) ….

Taking place six months after Finding Nemo, Dory suddenly recalls her childhood memories. Remembering something about “the jewel of Monterey, California“, accompanied by Nemo and Marlin, she sets out to find her family.
She arrives at the Monterey Marine Life Institute, where she meets Bailey, a white beluga whale; Destiny, a whale shark; and Hank the octopus, who becomes her guide.
If this “phrase” is at all true (and I think it is), here you have another way demonstrating the impact that Adele’s “Hello” song has become ingrained in our day to day life.
“Sadness” is a character of the animated film “Inside Out” and here we have her, participating in “La Voz MMD” with her rendition of “Hello“.
It’s a good way to start the day … with a bit of humor and fun. Of course, I couldn’t resist including “another version”.
Inside Out is a 2015 American 3D computer-animated comedy-drama adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures.
The film is set in the mind of a young girl named Riley Andersen (Kaitlyn Dias), where five personified emotions â Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness(Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black) and Disgust (Mindy Kaling) â try to lead her through life as her parents (Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan) move the family from Minnesota to San Francisco and she has to adjust to her new life.
I went to the movies with two of my grand children. One time with Angelika and the second time with Connor. Saw it the regular way and 3D. I must say it was very entertaining and it sure left off with a high probability for a sequel.Â
Big Hero 6 is a 2014 American 3D computer-animated superhero comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Hiro Hamada is a 14-year-old robotics genius who lives in the futuristic city of San Fransokyo and spends his time participating in back-alley robot fights. His older brother Tadashi, worried that Hiro is wasting his potential, takes him to the robotics lab at his university, where Hiro meets Tadashi’s friends, GoGo, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, and Fred as well as Baymax, a personal healthcare robot Tadashi created.
Amazed, Hiro decides to apply to the school. He presents his project â microbots, swarms of tiny robots that can link together in any arrangement imaginable â at an annual exhibition to gain admission. Professor Callaghan, head of the program, is impressed, and Hiro gets in. When a fire breaks out at the university, Tadashi rushes in to rescue Callaghan, but the building explodes and both are killed. As a result of losing his brother, Hiro secludes himself from others.

Who doesn’t remember the timeless story of Sleeping Beauty?Â
How many times did we have the story read to us as kid? How many times did we read it to our kids and grandkids? How many movies have come out about this fairy tale?
So many …. maybe countless.
I went to the movies today with my oldest, Bug. We saw this version today. It was an incredible production. The storyline, the acting, the sets, the light.
Filming took place between June and October 2012. The film was released by Walt Disney Pictures in the UK on May 28, 2014 and in the U.S. on May 30, 2014 in the Disney Digital 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D formats, as well as in conventional theaters.
An elderly woman narrates and tells the story of Maleficent as a young and powerful faerie living in The Moors, a magical realm bordering a human kingdom.
As a young girl, she meets and falls in love with a human peasant boy named Stefan, whose infatuation with Maleficent is overshadowed by his ambition to become king. As they grow older, the two drift apart until one day Stefan stops coming to see her.
Later, after Maleficent defeats the current king in battle, Stefan is tasked with killing her. Visiting her at night, Stefan drugs her but can’t bring himself to kill her. Instead he burns off her wings using iron (a lethal substance to faeries) and presents them to the king as proof she was slain.
Heartbroken by Stefan’s betrayal and the loss of her wings, Maleficent begins building a darker kingdom in the faerie realm. She takes a raven, Diaval, as her one companion and confidant, constantly shape-shifting him from man to bird and other animals.
One day, Diaval informs Maleficent that Stefan, now king, is hosting a christening for his newborn daughter, Aurora.
In retaliation for Stefan’s betrayal, Maleficent arrives uninvited and curses the baby with a sleeping curse to take effect on her 16th birthday after pricking her finger on a spinning wheel spindle. However, in an act of mercy towards the innocent child, she gives the curse an antidote in true love’s kiss.
Stefan, paranoid of Maleficent and her vengeance, has all the spinning wheels in the kingdom burned and locked away. He also sends Aurora off to live with three pixies hidden deep in the woods until the day after her 16th birthday.
Despite her initial hate for Aurora, Maleficent begins to take care of her from afar when the neglectful pixies fail to do so. When Aurora turns 15, she finally comes in contact with Maleficent, believing her to be her fairy godmother as she recalled being watched over by her all her life.
Maleficent allows Aurora to spend more time in the faerie kingdom. Realizing she has grown fond of the princess, Maleficent attempts to remove the sleeping curse but her own curse stops her.
When Aurora meets Prince Philip, the two of them are instantly attracted to each other. He tells her he is on his way to King Stefan’s castle but promises to return to see her. On the day of her 16th birthday, Aurora wants to live with Maleficent in her kingdom, which Maleficent allows in the hope that doing so will prevent the curse.
However, the pixies tell the truth about Aurora’s parentage and Maleficent’s curse. Heartbroken by the truth, Aurora runs from Maleficent back to her parents.
Stefan locks Aurora away for safe keeping until the sun sets on her birthday. However, the curse takes hold and she pricks her finger on an old spinning wheel in the dungeons.
Maleficent, having failed to protect her, sneaks into the castle with an unconscious Phillip, hoping his brief meeting with Aurora in the woods will be enough to break her curse. Phillip’s kiss fails and Maleficent apologizes to the sleeping princess, swearing no harm will come to her while she sleeps and kisses her forehead.
Aurora awakens as Maleficent’s “true love” for Aurora is that of a mother to her daughter. Aurora, upon awakening, calls Maleficent “godmother”, showing she has forgiven Maleficent, and reaffirms her wish to live with her in the faerie kingdom.
As they attempt to flee the castle, Maleficent is captured by an iron net that falls from the ceiling. The guards and Stefan, in iron armor and using iron weapons, strike and begin to kill Maleficent.
Using her last power, Maleficent transforms Diaval into a dragon and while they initially hold the upper ground, soon begin to lose. The guards encircle Maleficent and Stefan with iron shields and Stefan nearly kills Maleficent, taunting her at her lack of wings.
At that moment, Aurora frees her stolen wings from their prison and with her wings restored, Maleficent overpowers Stefan and he falls to his death. Aurora is later named queen of both the humans and faeries by Maleficent, forever unifying the two kingdoms, while Phillip looks on. The narrator then reveals her identity as an elderly Aurora.
“Maleficent,” the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the 1959 classic “Sleeping Beauty,” reveals the events that hardened Maleficent’s heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora.
