I watched the second season this year. There was talent galore. The dances, the styles, the performers. It was truly amazing to see them

On young man stood out for me. His talent was incredible. He flew through the air.

Michael Dameski is one of the four finalists competing to be crowned the season 2 winner of World of Dance. The 22-year-old Australian native has been a frontrunner from the start and continues to wow us all week after week.

So, who is Michael?

Here are the key facts you need to know about the World of Dance finalist!

1. Michael’s won So You Think You Can Dance! – Australian version 2014

2. He starred on Broadway! Michael’s breakthrough role was the title role of Billy Elliot in Billy Elliot the Musical.

3. Yes, he can sing, too! He showed off his vocals on Broadway for Billy Elliot the Musical.

4. Michael danced to an Ed Sheeran song in the finale! Michael has come up with an incredible concept. He dances to Ed’s “Dive”.

5. He entered his first dancing competition at just 6 years old. Without any formal dance training, young Michael played in the top 10 of the 2001 Australian Dance Idol program.

The 2018 season is at ‘the divisional finals’ portion.

This  group of young, talented ladies are simply out of this world.

They have gone through the qualifiers, the duels, the cut and now the divisional finals.

Sad to say that they were eliminated in this round!

There were 12 contenders going into the “World of Dance” Divisional Final on Wednesday night, September 5, but only four came out.

The Fabulous Sisters is a fusion dance group from Tokyo, Japan. They placed first at the 2017 World of Dance finals in the youth division, for the second year in a row and are now ready to make their mark on the “World of Dance” stage in LA!

“World of Dance” judge Jennifer Lopez and special guest Savion Glover mentored the Junior Team Division contestants during the Cut, and Lopez was a little worried that The Fabulous Sisters from Fukushima, Japan, didn’t have an entirely cohesive routine prepared. But she changed her tune when she saw their complete performance.

They were decked out in regal gold costumes and ruled ferociously from a throne. Imagine if Cersei Lannister from “Game of Thrones” blew up the Sept of Baelor with just the power of urban dance.

Your formations and pictures from our mentoring session went up so much, and I loved that we really made you the focal point of this and it didn’t get lost in the middle of it and it made it so strong. You know, it’s very interesting choreography. It’s so different than anybody else in the competition. Beautiful.”

I thought it was really nice that Jennifer let you borrow her throne. Again, the way you dance the choreography is so amazing. The intensity, and then right when I thought, ‘Oh, this is a great routine,’ you all took a shot of espresso and just went into hyper mode. It was like ‘Whoa!’ The way you used your costume at the end: very simple, but very, very effective. It was one of those ‘ooh’ moments. It was so good.”

Jaxon Willard, a 16-year-old from American Fork, passed the first Qualifiers round of NBC’s “World of Dance” Season 2 with flying colors, completed the Duels and aced the Cut round of the competition.

“I’ve always been teased and bullied about my skin color, and so I would always suppress all my feelings and keep them inside until I discovered dancing, and so this song to me is kind of saying that it’s OK to be vulnerable and it’s OK to be sad,” Willard told the judges.

The American Fork native explained to the judges that his inspiration for the dance he performed was his experience as an African American growing up in a predominantly white community.

Willard’s self-choreographed dance to Kygo and Labrinth’s “Fragile” for the qualifiers,  “Surprise Yourself” by Jack Garratt for the duels and  “Higher” by The Score.

Jaxon Willard brought the ‘World of Dance’ judges to tears with this routine about his anger towards his birth mother

“It’s about my feelings towards my birth mom and how I was angry and felt abandoned by her,” said teenager Jaxon Willard about what inspired his contemporary solo routine during The Duels on “World of Dance.”

The black competitor, who was adopted into a white family, has struggled with his feelings about the family he came from and how to express those feelings to the family he now has, but he channeled those feelings into the highest scoring performance of the night.

I understand the concept of being humble, and I can tell you’re so humble and there’s so much humility in you. But I need you to walk with your chest out and your back straight, brother. There is so much power in you. Listen, I’ll get into the performance now. You are the epitome of power and vulnerability. It’s like you jump in the air and you float. It’s like an effortless thing for you. You are amazing at what you do. I need you to walk in that.”

Junior contemporary duo Charity Anderson, of Springville, and Andrés Peñate, of Vineyard, known as Charity and Andres, were shown achieving the first-ever combined perfect score of 100 on NBC’s “World of Dance” on Wednesday during the second Duals round.

An Indianapolis dance group is taking the next step on NBC’s “World of Dance” after picking up a win Wednesday night, June 25.

Eight dancers from Expressenz Dance Center performed in the duel rounds of the dance competition, going against a rival in their division with elimination on the line. Expressenz danced to A Great Big World’s “Say Something” on the show.

If you haven’t heard of the Fabulous Sisters from Japan they are a crew of ladies who live up to their name and more.

This past weekend at the World of Dance Finals in Los Angeles, they delivered a memorable diverse performance which earned them a spot in the Winners Circle and a video bound to receive well earned popularity in no time. In 2016 they received 1st place in youth division at the World of Dance Japan Qualifier.

Their style is an intense fusion of multiple styles of not only hip hop but contemporary, waacking, tutting, voguing, jazz funk, and intricate arm and hand placements.
