#UsainTheBolt … Usain Bolt Foundation in Haiti!

The Usain Bolt Foundation (UBF) has partnered with a relief and development organization to help Haiti as the French-speaking Caribbean nation tries to recover from the battering from Hurricane Matthew early this month.
And it’s supporting business in Jamaican in the process.
Although the Foundation has not disclosed how much relief it’s providing, in partnership with Food for the Poor Jamaica, it says it’s not donating cash. Instead, it’s buying non-perishables, including corned beef, mackerel, chicken sausages, crackers, and baked beans as well as water from local company Lasco Distributors.
Food for the Poor will be responsible for the distribution.
“We were saddened to hear of the devastation in Haiti caused by Hurricane Matthew. I was particularly moved when I saw the pictures of the children who were affected and who had become homeless,” Bolt, patron of the Foundation, said. “We had to do our part…
