UNEQUIVOCAL SUPPORT FOR ISRAHELL

I’ve been wondering, since this whole thing began after October 7, why the current president of the USA is of very much “attached” and supportive of the obvious immoral and inhumane position of Israel’s war on Palestine and its people.

Palestine has no Navy, no Army, no Air Force!!

I see obvious war crimes, forced displacement, constant shelling, immesurable destruction of life, culture, infrastructure and buidlings, collective punishment and so much more … and the US continues to supply military aid, ammunitions, jets, helicopters, etc. without ‘conditions”.

Those are OUR tax dollars!!

They are needed back in the USA for the citizens of this nation. No, they go to Israel!! I’ll leave this AJ+ YouTube video here that may shed some light on these questions. It helped me understand and confirms the feelings I’ve had about Biden!!

It’s been seven + months since the start of the U.S.-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza, which has claimed – at minimum – tens of thousands of Palestinian lives, including at least 15,000 children.

There is mass starvation in the north, countless mass graves are being found every day from where the Israelis have withdrawn and a ground invasion of Rafah, which is under heavy bombardment, is still on the books.

Despite all this and the growing domestic pressure on the U.S. government to change course, Joe Biden and his administration have shown no desire to choose a different course.

Instead, unlike the media narrative that puts blame squarely on Netanyahu, this administration is showing what Joe Biden has shown throughout his career:

complete deference to and support of the state of Israel.

I was barely a teenager during the Vietnam war.

Living in Puerto Rico, I wasn’t exposed to the news coverage that, I assume, was on American television. I do remember the Kent University shooting and the iconic picture. The one below is seared in my mind.

Is this happening again?

“Sometimes, life is hard. Sometimes, the path forward is unclear.

Sometimes you have to make difficult choices. This is not one of those times. Today, you have a simple decision to make. The United States is providing material and political support for a genocide. American tax dollars are sponsoring the gas chambers of Gaza. American tax dollars are buying dumb bombs and white phosphorus to drop on an innocent, trapped, civilian population.

You can make a difference!

This is Good versus Evil. This is Might versus Right. This decision is the easiest one of your life.

Almost 54 years ago, at Kent State University, 4 students were killed and 9 injured by National Guard troops brought in to prevent students protesting peacefully against the Vietnam War.

Just like in Gaza, American military might was being used to kill poor, brown people in faraway lands. This is what the American military has done all over the world for decades. This is wrong. This is counterproductive and mindless. This is transparently immoral.

The Kent State shootings became part of folklore. They galvanised even more students into action. The student victims were immortalised in rock songs like “Ohio” by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

Today, student protests are spreading at American Universities. Stand up against genocide! Stand up for justice for the innocent Palestinians! Join the movement! Your government has been on the wrong side of history for 76 years.

Never again means never again.
