Last week, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony gave a free concertfor Hillary Clinton. They filled the Bayfront Park Amphitheater in Miami, and helped Hillary to win the key Florida vote.
Lin-Manuel Miranda has held Hamilton-themed events in support of Hillary.

Dear Horty,
When Hillary Clinton wins in Florida, it will be due in large part to a 100% increase in Hispanic voting in 2016 v 2012. This makes this community of Puerto Ricans, a power house. This is the time to make demands like the repeal of the Jones Act.

Agree! It depends who Puerto Rico sends up here. The Resident Commissioner is a political post, elected on Nov 8 … he’s a PR representative but has no vote. He sits and listens and may say his point … but has no power. Will that change? I wonder …

Dear Horty,
There are representatives today in the U.S. Congress like Senator Bob Menendez who can argue well on behalf of PR. Before, he has tried with little success. Now with the voting power of the PR community, he would be in a better position.
It is the PR community in locations like FL which have the power. It would be great to ID a couple of local PR leaders to present demands on behalf of PR and to start running for elected positions in states like Florida.
