  1. Now you’re really pissing me off. You not only have my photo on your blog as a direct copyright violation, now you’re violating CASL law by sending me unwanted email.

Take this photo down now: https://hrexach.wordpress.com/2015/09/08/iotd-image-of-the-day-326-unlikely-friends-an-owl-and-a-horse/comment-page-1/

Remove me from your distribution list. Did you know that in a couple months time, all Canadians who receive unwanted emails can charge $200 to the person who sends them? Read up on CASL law!

    • I’m sorry again …. I just saw this now ….. Is there any way that you can allow me to use you photo? I didn’t know the source … would you like credit … or just plainly remove it.
As far as unwanted emails, I didn’t send one … must be sent automatically.
Again, it’s not my intention to upset, bother you or rob you of your work …

    • I use this when I don’t know the source …. I do not own this/these images.
      No intention of taking credit.
If anyone knows the owner of any, please advise and it will be corrected immediately.

    • OK, I removed your photo … once again, I apologize. It wasn’t my intention to upset you or claim credit for your work. I’m working on removing the other one.
If you signed up to follow, you will get an automatic email. That’s the way WordPress works. I have no control over that.
Once again, please accept my apologies.

      • One note on the email: those settings are in the wordpress options and are not controlled by other bloggers. The setting is located under ‘notifications’ the option to disable ‘is send and email when someone I follow publishes a new post.’ I’m paraphrasing.

      • The setting is in the Reader under ‘Followed sites.”

Click the ‘Manage’ tab and a drop down list of followed blogs appears to the right.

To the left of the site name is a drop down tab. Click it and choose enable or disable for notifications from that blog.

The setting is enabled by default, at least on my screen.

The setting must be disabled one by one.

        🙂

      • thanks … noting, I’m not following her. She started following me! I received the email alerting me about the follow …
She doesn’t want to receive any emails which are generated when you follow and the blogger posts. However, she says that she didn’t follow me.
This is what she’s writing me ….

      • She’s trying to throw you off guard. Really. I bet it’s about your politics.

        I think she’s gas-lighting you.

She followed and un-followed you, right?

At this point only one response makes sense to me.

Paula Alquist Anton: If I were not mad, I could have helped you. Whatever you had done, I could have pitied and protected you. But because I am mad, I hate you. Because I am mad, I have betrayed you. And because I’m mad, I’m rejoicing in my heart, without a shred of pity, without a shred of regret, watching you go with glory in my heart!

      • Interesting! She has been quiet. Why politics? She’s way up north, over border!
She followed, don’t know if she unfollowed.
Love the Paula thought! TY …

      • Verbatim … ‘remove me from your email list. I did not subscribe to you and it’s in violation of Canada’s anti spam laws.’
I’m looking but I don’t know how to remove her. Un-following is the way to get rid of notification emails. Go figure …

      • My guess is that the she disagrees with your politics and knows she can’t get to you with a political argument.

I’m sure she knows that she would have gotten the same response with a please.

I would leave her comments up as an example of how to respond ethically and honorably to a take trollish down request.

    • OK. It’s done … your photograph has been removed. Again, I have no words but to state again that I apologize for having used your photograph. I also reiterate that it wasn’t my intention to upset you, claim credit for your work or intentionally send you unwanted email.
As far as I am aware, if you ‘follow’ my blog, an email will be automatically generated to let you know that a new post is available. I do not know how to stop that …
It seems that that is WordPress’s way.
If the emails are bothersome, then, please un-follow and won’t receive any notification about postings.
      I’m so sorry …

    • I’ve been looking into WordPress … and this is what they say:
‘We cannot block or delete subscribers from public blogs. Everyone on the internet can view and follow any public blog. That is in fact what the public designation means and anyone anyone with internet access can follow your public blog’s RSS Feed.’
