ABUSER TAPED HER MOUTH TO STOP HER FROM BARKING
… a sad story with an awesome ending …
Remember that dog whose mouth was taped shut?
Well you won’t believe what she looks like now.
I can’t understand how humans can abuse any animal.
All you have to do is look into their eyes and see that there’s a sentient being inside.
They feel, they suffer, they love, they play.
This is a sad story with a very happy ending.

Her tongue was swollen and oozing pus, because all of the blood flow to her mouth had been cut off.
She was rushed to Charleston Animal Society, a No Kill rescue centre in South Carolina, where she had several operations.
We didn’t think she’d make it through – but we were wrong.
New footage shows the Staffie mix happier than ever – playing ball, enjoying some Starbucks and just generally having a great time.
The video was filmed by BarkBox, which arranges fun days for deserving dogs.
She was even given a special ‘bone to the city’ – instead of a key to the city – by Keith Summey, the mayor of North Charleston.
Caitlyn also enjoyed being an honorary firehouse dog with one of her favourite humans and best friends – a local firefighter, Josh Allen.

~~Dog’s Best Day~~
Caitlyn
~~Published on Dec 16, 2015~~
Staffie-mix, Caitlyn, captured the hearts of millions worldwide last July 2015, when she was rescued by Charleston Animal Society (CAS) with devastating injuries after her muzzle was cruelly taped shut. Her amazing resilience and inspiring journey from victim to ambassador against animal cruelty led BarkPost to give her the ultimate holiday gift: her best day ever.
A huge thank you to Starbucks, Hyper Pet, Woof Gang Bakery, BarkShop, and, of course, Charleston Animal Society. We couldn’t have made this special day possible without you.
We ALL are ONE!!
