Stone Warrior

Late at night,
gazing into a star strooned horizon,
I can hear my shattered heart beat.

It rings in my ears,
and echos all around me.
promises made so long ago,
their not but a distant memory.

words exchanged from the soul,
that now stand empty of meaning.
just like the void in my fading heart.
I can count the stars tonight
each one a lie i believed.

and now i see
i stand alone
with me myself and i
people come & people go
but ill always be right here
like a marble stone ….
