REAL FRIENDSHIP

What Is A Friend
A good friend is someone
who cares about you
they are someone who will be
there when you’re down

A good friend is someone
who’s willing to help you
when you are in a little trouble
that’s hard to get out

A good friend is someone
who you can talk to
and trust with your problems
in not telling anyone else

A good friend is someone
who will come and stop
you from taking your life
and sit down to show you
all of the good things
to live for

WHEN YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR WHAT DO YOU SEE

Do you see a child blinded in animosity and dislike
For everyone they see or do see the one trying be bring greatness to a
Quickly down-spiraling family tree.

Do you see the kid who’s walking around with
The world in his shoulders; the one that
Has learned to suppress his every emotion.

When you look in the mirror what do you see
Do you see the child inside covered in years
Of hurt and months of pain or the young adult
Outside hopeless with nothing to gain.

Do you see a person who’s had a hard life
And struggling every day or do you see
The work in progress he’s trying to be.

When you look in the mirror what do you see
Do you see someone who down-grade others
Abilities and goals or do you see the person
Who focus too much on themselves they miss
What is meant to be.

When you look in the mirror what do you see
Do you see a cowardly lion; do you
See the hell-raising kid you pose to be, do you
See the broken person people tried to
Make you be.

Do you see a respectful young man or
The foolish person he choose to be, do you
See the two-faced person your friends see
Or do you see the superior kid you were told
You should be.

If I looked in the mirror, ask me what
I’ll see I’ll tell you I see my deepest
Fears looking back at me.

Roseanne Cherrie Barr (born November 3, 1952) is an American actress, comedian, writer, television producer, director, and 2012 presidential nominee of the California-based Peace and Freedom Party.

Barr began her career in stand-up comedy at clubs before gaining fame for her role in the sitcom Roseanne. The show was a hit and lasted nine seasons, from 1988 to 1997. She won both an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her work on the show.

Barr had crafted a “fierce working-class domestic goddess” persona in the eight years preceding her sitcom and wanted to do a realistic show about a strong mother who was not a victim of patriarchal consumerism.

Some thoughts to think about ….

LIFE IS AN ADVENTURE IN FORGIVENESS

During my professional career, I have met many people who have multiple issues in their lives. I have also met some in my personal life. They have experienced difficult events which shaped their current lives. Some have been able to recover from these events but others haven’t been able to.

Many times we tend to think “I can be here for them and help them”. 

The reality is, if they don’t accept they may need help, there’s very little that one can do.

We need to listen to our intuition and acknowledge that some may be beyond our help. It doesn’t do any good to take upon ourselves their trials and tribulations. If we do, we become entangled in an endless web which will undermine our personal resources and stamina. 

Listen to the call of your Spirit. Pay attention. 

It may be time to let go! 

Forgive any wrongs and walk away. 

We ALL are connected through HUMANITY!!
