Yesterday I posted more information about this hit single and included a music video. Since then I have found plenty of covers and parodies.

This one is also very special because The Bottle Boys actually use bottles during their performances.

Let’s face it: ‘Despacito’ is clearly the song of the summer right?

It’s so catchy!

Now, even if you don’t know all of the words you can’t help deny the impact of the Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee song.

In the video the musical group, The Bottle Boys, perform the global smash hit using beer bottles as instruments and it’s pretty incredible.

Hi everyone,

Summer is here! And so is our bottle version of THE summer song 2017, “Despacito”!

We went outside for this one to Strøget, the the big shopping street in Copenhagen, to surprise the passersby with a guerrilla performance of the Puerto Rican smash hit on bottles in the beautiful sunny weather!

Hope you will enjoy watching this one as much as we enjoyed playing it!

I must confess that I didn’t become aware of this song until Angelika, my oldest grand-daughter told me about it.

I started paying attention and now it’s hard to get away from it.

It’s become a ‘brainworm’.

Getting a song (usually one you dislike) stuck inside your mind that repeats endlessly.

The main reason is because it’s an awesome hit for two well-known Puerto Rican singers, each one in their own category.

Their work together in this project has become worldwide known … inspiring covers and parodies.

On January 13, 2017, Universal Music Latin released “Despacito” and its music video, which shows both artists performing the song in the La Perla neighborhood of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico and the local bar La Factoría.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs. I also worked for the government of Puerto Rico from 1979 through 1985 .... for a total of almost 40 years as a physician. Music and reading are my passion. Blogging has also become a very interesting endeavor. Metaphysical topics attract me. I'm interested in news - reporting human issues like injustice, discrimination and abuse - the "wrongly" affected.
