It’s so catchy!

Now, even if you don’t know all of the words you can’t help deny the impact of the Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee song.

In the video the musical group, The Bottle Boys, perform the global smash hit using beer bottles as instruments and it’s pretty incredible.

Summer is here! And so is our bottle version of THE summer song 2017, “Despacito”!

We went outside for this one to Strøget, the the big shopping street in Copenhagen, to surprise the passersby with a guerrilla performance of the Puerto Rican smash hit on bottles in the beautiful sunny weather!

“Despacito” (English: “Slowly”) is a single by Puerto Rican pop artist Luis Fonsi featuring Puerto Rican rapper Daddy Yankee from the former’s upcoming studio album.

On January 13, 2017, Universal Music Latin released “Despacito” and its music video, which shows both artists performing the song in the La Perla neighborhood of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico and the local bar La Factoría.

There are countless versions and parodies of the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Despacito” up on YouTube in every language. But this instrumental version by 2Cellos may be the most impressive yet.

The duo’s Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser covers the Latin hit with no accompaniment whatsoever, alternating their cellos through the melodic lines, rhythmic bass and percussion patterns of “Despacito” effortlessly.

The video, shot in what appears to be a storage room, ends with a rousing sing-along with Sulic and Hauser showing off their vocal chops after killing it on the strings.

I must confess that I didn’t become aware of this song until Angelika, my oldest grand-daughter told me about it.

I started paying attention and now it’s hard to get away from it.

It’s become a ‘brainworm’.

I'm originally from Puerto Rico. I was born in Santurce and raised in Rio Piedras. I currently live in Florida - since 1999. I have a doctorate degree in Medicine; completed in 1976. My Internal Medicine specialty was completed in 1979. Worked for Puerto Rico's health system until 1985. At this time, I'm happily retired after working for the federal government for almost 28yrs.
