Streisand revealed that she’d failed her written driver’s test three times while attempting to get her license renewed

“I was so nervous, a little bit like I am now because I have you in the car,” she told Corden. She also said that she hasn’t been driving a lot lately because her mind “is twirling” and she recently found herself driving the wrong way on the highway. “This is not what I need to hear right now,” her fellow passenger jokes.

“I thought, ‘That’s it, I’m not driving anymore,'” she said, adding, “But you’re lucky.”

“If this is how I go out, I’ll take it,” Corden jokes. “Corden died at the hands of Barbra Streisand. ‘Is she OK?’ She’s fine, thank god.”

When asked about the current political climate and how she’s coping, Streisand explained that that’s why she created the album, which is fittingly titled Walls.

This is a topic which is very dear and close to my heart.

As a retired physician, I fully understand the process, the need for treatment, the underlying medical conditions and the meaning of life-saving treatment.

On the other hand, my only brother died of complications of chronic renal failure several years ago. In the aftermath of Hurricane María, I often thought about him and how he would manage to receive this three times a week treatment when the electrical power situation and the hospital care was so lacking in my country.

One year after Hurricane María, Puerto Ricans living in Vieques, go through harrowing, uncomfortable, tiring, exhausting and dangerous ways to receive their treatment.

This video explains their situation.

An American possession with this ‘quality of care’?

Gun reform organization Change The Ref is raising awareness about 3D-printed guns with 3D printing technology of its own – a 3D-printed sculpture the group is calling “the first 3D activist” in a campaign created in collaboration with the agency Alma.

The sculpture is modeled after Joaquín Oliver, Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting victim and son of Change The Ref founders Manuel and Patricia Oliver.

Entitled “Guac is Back,” the campaign is centered around a 3D sculpture of Joaquín holding a bouquet of flowers, in tribute to the Valentine’s Day gift for his girlfriend he was holding when he died.

The statue of Joaquín is wearing a pin which, when scanned with a smartphone, directs viewers to a website collecting signatures for a petition demanding action against 3D-printed guns and encourages visitors to register to vote.

An emotional video features Manuel Oliver explaining that his family fled gun violence in Venezuela to settle in the U.S. and that Joaquin himself was an activist.

“I’ll Never Love Again” was one of the numbers they most wanted to keep in check until audiences had a chance to experience it in theaters.

The song appears in the last scene of the movie, and without giving too much away for those who have yet to see it, it is performed in two different interlocking settings, both by Cooper and Gaga together at a piano and by Gaga alone on stage. 

Cooper and Gaga famously sang all of their parts live during the making of the film, something Cooper insisted on, and “I’ll Never Love Again” is no exception.

‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’

IT BRINGS JOY TO MY HEART

To say that I’m an ardent fan of Mamma Mia isn’t enough.

First of all I love ABBA.

They were one of the musical groups of my time.

I ‘grew up’ listening to their music.

Time went by and the first movie came along. I couldn’t have enough of it. I’ve lost count of how many times I went to the theater to watch it. I even went to the ‘sing-a-long’ version.

Then the DVD came out and, of course, I ordered it.

Meryl Streep impressed me. So did the other members of the cast.

Well, of course I saw the prequel/sequel.

I loved it!!

Even learned about ABBA songs that I hadn’t heard. 

The story line, acting, the music, the photography, the colors … all of it, joyful, fun, heartwarming!!
