This is a movie which my grand-daughter Angelika and I have been waiting for.
The controversy generated about the mentioned scene is much ado about nothing.
It’s all in the ‘mind’ of the beholder.
It’s a must watch movie.
We will soon go to the movies.

Beauty and the Beast is a 2017 American musical romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon from a screenplay written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos.

‘Beauty and the Beast’s ‘gay moment’ may have been much ado about nothing
So what exactly caused all this controversy?
The “gay moment” that Condon was referring to is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot in the film’s final seconds.
LeFou, the villain Gaston’s side-kick, dances with a man in the final ball sequence just before the credits roll. There are oblique references to LeFou’s sexuality over the course of the film. He is portrayed as having something of an unrequited crush on Gaston, having euphemistic conversations about their relationship and looking longingly at him during the song Gaston.

Sigh. Would somebody please explain to me why we cannot all just live and let live? Why does another person’s preferences of a life partner have to be our business? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR …. there are so much more important things to concern ourselves with!!!

I think only small minds with nothing better to spend their time/thoughts on worry about the sexuality, race, colour, religion, etc. of others. Me? I’ve got too damn much to do to worry about it! Hugs to you, my friend! ❤

An interesting aside: a friend … well, a once-upon-a-time friend, commented on one of my Facebook posts regarding Trumpetcare this evening, and she was highly critical of me, of Obama, of ACA, and the like. When I explained to her why I couldn’t support Trumpetcare, she responded with, “Oh … I didn’t realize it would hurt so many people. I was just going by what people were saying on Facebook.” And THIS, more than anything else, I think, is the problem!

Agreed! I call them “stupid”, and my somewhat calmer S.O. says, “no, they aren’t stupid, just uneducated and unenlightened”. But … in this day and age, there is no excuse for being either uneducated or unenlightened … so much information is available if you just stick to reputable sources, do some research. But no, it’s easier to watch Fox and read silly memes. The bane of my existence. SIGH. 🙂
