Just after midnight on Sunday night, August 26, the flag flying above the White House was hoisted back to full staff.
Earlier Monday, the White House flag had returned to its regular position even as other flags around Washington – including at the US Capitol – remained in the half-staff mourning position. But on Monday afternoon, August 27, the White House once again lowered the flag to half-staff and Trump, in his statement said he “signed a proclamation to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff until the day of his interment.”
Drumpf has been mocked for forgetting the colors of the American flag during a visit to a children’s hospital this weekend.
In pictures posted by Mr. Azar on Twitter, Drumpf fills in one of the stripes on the star-spangled banner with a blue felt-tip pen.
The French pinned two medals on Josephine Baker for her heroic role in the French resistance during World War II. Baker spied for the Free French Forces and entertained the French troops in war zones.
When this is all over we really should pin one on Randy Rainbow for his role in the resistance. He’s not taking the personal risks Baker did – he’s not in danger of being arrested and shot (not yet) – but no one has done more to entertain the troops in today’s resistance.
American Idiot is the seventh studio album by American rock band Green Day. Produced by Rob Cavallo, the album was released in the UK on September 20, 2004 and in the US on September 21, 2004 by Reprise Records.
When my band Green Day released our album American Idiot almost 13 years ago, we knew we were lobbing a grenade into the lap of the culture. With the fallout from 9/11 and the Iraq War revealing deep divisions in American society, our confrontational lyrics and attitude clearly touched a nerve, if our 15 million records sold are any indication. But now that enough time has passed to let the dust and controversy settle, I finally feel comfortable revealing that the “American Idiot” I sang about was none other than President George W. Bush.
The main reason we made George W. Bush the “American Idiot” is because he started a war.
Enough Time Has Passed To Reveal George W. Bush Was The ‘American Idiot’
Oh, the things ‘so-called President’ Drumpf will be greeted with this week when he visits London: demonstrators, a giant “Trump Baby” balloon – and a uniquely British musical protest.
For the past couple of weeks, a social media campaign has sought to make Green Day‘s classic 2004 jam “American Idiot” the No. 1 tune in the UK by the time Drumpf arrives Friday, July 13.
The “Get American Idiot to No.1 for Drumpf’s UK Visit” Facebook page has been advocating for some type of musical protest during a Drumpf visit to Britain pretty much since the start of his presidency. After Drumpf’s “working visit” – as opposed to a formal state visit – was announced in April, the effort went into overdrive.

THE CAYUGA CENTER IN HARLEM, NEW YORK IS HOLDING THIS GIRL!
~~Surreptitious Video Offers Peek At Impact Of Drumpf Border Policy~~
~~Published on Jun 25, 2018~~
Rachel Maddow shares an exclusive look at the first non-government video from inside a facility that serves children who have been taken from their parents by the Drumpf administration’s “zero tolerance” border policy.
A former employee at the Cayuga Centers facility in East Harlem has leaked footage of herself comforting a tearful migrant girl longing for her mother.
The child – taken from her mother in April – weeps into her arm as an unidentified staffer can be heard coaxing out of her what happened to her family at the U.S.-Mexico border. The heartbreaking clip aired Monday night on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” and is one of the first candid looks from inside a federally-funded charity tasked with caring for migrant children, some of whom were taken from their families while crossing the border.
Davidson quit this week after being a youth care worker at the Tucson shelter, Estrella del Norte, for just a few months. He decided to speak out about his experiences there in hopes of improving a system often shielded from public scrutiny. His comments in a telephone interview offer a rare look into the operation of a migrant shelter.
Davidson said he became disillusioned after the Drumpf administration’s “zero tolerance” policy began sending the shelter not only children who had crossed the border unaccompanied by adults, but also those separated from their parents.
~The Sensational Idiocy of Donald Trump’s Propaganda Video for Kim Jong Un~
~By Troy Patterson~
June 12, 2018
In Singapore, on Tuesday, June 12, reporters covering the summit between Drumpf and the North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un, were surprised with a screening of what appeared to be a movie trailer. You could argue that, because tax dollars likely paid for the creation of the clip, we the people ought to share a producing credit. But the nature of the film – its grandiosity, its gaudiness, its chaotic logic, its indiscriminate idiocy – is such that we must understand Drumpf as its author.
The clip, a four-minute overture from Drumpf to Kim, is styled as a movie preview. A golden production logo announces this as a presentation of “Destiny Pictures,” and frequent stock footage finds the sun shining like a dime beyond the curve of a turning world.
Is Drumpf inviting Kim to take command of Universal Pictures? Or join him in playing God? Does either of them know the difference?
Could it be, this audience with Sly?
The narrator is cautiously optimistic:
“When could this moment in history begin? It comes down to a choice on this day, in this time, at this moment.
The world will be watching, listening, anticipating . . . .”
The eyes and ears of the world are represented by telephoto lenses and by TV control rooms and by a woman alone on a sofa watching TV, because this is the sum of what Drumpf knows of persuasion.
“It was one of the greatest parades I’ve ever seen,” Drumpf told reporters at the United Nations General Assembly, two months after he witnessed the celebration of Bastille Day on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on July 14.
“It was military might,” he added.
“We’re going to have to try to top it,” he apparently joked to French President Emmanuel Macron, who was sitting nearby.
But it was no joke. Now he has ordered the Pentagon to prepare his own parade, “like the one in France,” as one senior military official has recounted.
However exorbitant the expense, it does indeed look like this might actually take place.
~18 House Republicans nominate Trump for Nobel Peace Prize~
In a letter sent Wednesday, May 2, to the Norwegian Nobel Committee, the lawmakers tapped Trump for the highly coveted prize for his efforts to denuclearize the Korean Peninsula and end the 68-year-old war between North and South Korea.
Keep in mind, this nomination came from the House Republicans.
These are the ‘people’ who released the unilateral report clearing the ‘Orange Turd’ of all wrongdoing in the Russia probe.
I strongly believe they have their heads buried in the sand, are so dirty themselves and have inserted the whole Republican machine up the ‘so-called’ President’s colon.
The Fifth Amendment (Amendment V) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights and, among other things, protects individuals from being compelled to be witnesses against themselves in criminal cases.
“Pleading the Fifth” is thus a colloquial term for invoking the right that allows witnesses to decline to answer questions where the answers might incriminate them, and generally without having to suffer a penalty for asserting the right.
~Michael Cohen asserts Fifth Amendment rights in Stormy Daniels case~
Michael Cohen, the longtime personal attorney for President Drumpf, filed court papers Wednesday, April 25, indicating he would assert his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination regarding his involvement in a hush money deal involving porn star Stormy Daniels and the ‘so-called’ President.
Cohen filed the declaration as part of an effort to have a civil lawsuit filed by Daniels put on hold.
The judge in that case said last week that he needed to hear from Cohen directly before deciding on that request.
Michael Avenatti, Daniels’ attorney, called Cohen’s declaration “a stunning development.”
