I won’t be able to post as usual. I won’t be able to reblog either … my phone and my iPad don’t have the ‘reblog button’ anymore.
Don’t know why!
Anyway, I will be looking in every so often to check up on my dear friends.
I will miss all of you.
On the morning of Wednesday, September 20, 2017, Hurricane María struck Puerto Rico, devastating the island and plunging all of its 3.4 million residents into a desperate humanitarian crisis.
I will never forget.
I’m going to see family and friends.
I want to drive around and see what is happening 8 months after this disaster.
I found an amazing man through this wonderful web we weave as we blog.
We’ve know each other for at least 4-5 years. We have never met in person but we ‘talk’ a lot. He’s been a great help in many things and he’s always there to listen.
At this moment in time, he’s going through a tough personal/family situation.
Yesterday, I posted this song on Facebook. Martin saw it and this is his comment”
“Just what the doctor ordered, thank you for sharing.”
STAY STRONG!
My brother, know that I’m always here for you!
Friends for life!
Incredible cover, amazing instrument!
Just lay back, close your eyes and be transported to another time … a time of love and sweetness.
“Comfortably Numb” is a song by the English rock band Pink Floyd, released on their eleventh album, The Wall (1979). It was released as a single in 1980 with “Hey You” as the B-side. The chorus progression and guitar solos were written by guitarist David Gilmour, while the lyrics and verse progression were written by bassist Roger Waters.
“Comfortably Numb” is one of Pink Floyd’s most famous songs, renowned for its two guitar solos.
Comfortably Numb has always been one of my all time favorite songs, so I decided to make my own cover of it. I thought the harp guitar would work well with this song. Also for the ending solo I thought it would sound best on electric so I looped the chords and played the solo on my Fender Strat!
And our friends are all aboard
Many more of them live next door
And the band begins to play
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine
We all live in a yellow submarine
Yellow submarine, yellow submarine ….
Full speed ahead Mr. Boatswain, full speed ahead
Full speed ahead it is, Sergeant.
Cut the cable, drop the cable
Aye, Sir, aye
Captain, captain …
Partial Lyrics … The Beatles

In Memoriam a Ms. Georgina Duprey
Vuela alto … fly high!!

‘In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here … “
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and days of auld lang syne?
~~Remembering Those We Lost in 2016~~
~~Published on Dec 29, 2016~~
At the end of this crazy year I wanted to do something special to celebrate the lives of those we’ve lost.
I wasn’t able to include everyone, of course, but I tried my best to include those who meant something to me.
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” is a song performed by American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey.
She wrote and produced the song with Walter Afanasieff. Columbia Records released it on November 1, 1994, as the lead single from her first holiday album and fourth studio album, Merry Christmas. “Christmas” is an uptempo love song that includes bell chimes and heavy back-up vocals, as well as use of synthesizers.
The song’s lyrics declare that the narrator does not care about Christmas presents or lights; all she wants for Christmas is to be with her lover.
His own words … “The American dream is dead” …. America has voted.
A friend of mine wrote this ….
“The majority of America just voted for a hateful, misogynist man to be the the highest leader in the land. A vote for Trump essentially said you approve of that behavior. You can’t tell me any different, and you won’t convince me otherwise. So, you got what you voted for. I hope you are happy.”
Anyone who voted for him embraces all of this positions, ideologies, flaws … all of him. You don’t get to ‘cherry-pick‘ what you think is best. You ‘bought’ him …. he’s all yours!
At the same time, I’m asking you that, if you voted for Donald Trump. please, unfriend me, block me …. disconnect from me, please.
“I am not two faced … If you do not stand for basic human rights and feel that discrimination, putting women down, insulting immigrants just because they are Mexican or Syrian or even Native American, or they come from an immigrant family, or their religion is Muslim, Buddhist, etc. … among all other idiosyncrasies (idiot-syncrasies) and you believe in this, I really do not have an interest in keeping my Facebook friendship or having a true friendship. We are too different to be able to reconcile our differences. This is fake and I am not that.
Time to clean my Facebook.”

From another friend …. she came to this country for the famous, now ‘dead American dream’ …..
“The good news (as this is the outcome) for those of you that have never lived in another country is now you get to experience what that is like without even leaving!! Economic uncertainty, bozo politics, national security compromised, chaos, disrespect of citizens, disdain from first world countries and so much more. Yay for the people that made that possible for everyone – travel without a passport. These traditional Americans that “wanted America back” just gave America away. Enjoy your ride.”
